I have been parking at this structure for several years and always enjoyed the convenience. The security strategy appears to have changed from patrolling the parking to guarding full entrances of lots to warn people the lot is full. I haven't had an issue parking here until a little over a week ago when my catalytic converter was liberated from its station on my truck in broad daylight. It made my Truck sound sick! It was a real head turner and even garnered respect from the local Motorcycle club, they made me an honorary member (family for life). I might recommend parking in one of the lots just outside the structure so at least it's out in the open and if that lot gets full you can count on the security guarding the entrance.
Update: three days after getting my catalytic converter replaced it was stolen again in this parking garage! This time both front and back converters. This is after I painted them bright green and etched my vin and phone number in it!!Love how its 50 dollars a month for a parking pass here! So its cost me $1050 this month to park here to take the ferry this month. Aww yeah!
Update: So I ended up welding a cage around my catalytic converter and have changed where in the garage I park and haven’t had a problem since. If I was going to give someone advice on parking in this structure I would say park in an area that has lots of cars around and avoid the top level or anywhere less crowded. Also if you have a car make sure to not leave anything out that peaks someone’s interest and if you can leave your back seat down so someone looking for targets sees there is nothing in the trunk. Most of the recent car break ins tend to pop a back little window and check the trunk. I have noticed security cars a bit more in the main level of the garage just keeping their flashing lights on. Lets hope it continues to improve as I still love taking the ferry.
Horrible. Do NOT park here. One of my two catalytic converters were stolen, the other damaged- cameras do not work (or the ONE working camera they have is horrible) and security is at a minimum. Better to spend the Uber to get to the ferry or just skip the Ferry and drive/Uber to the city.
I should’ve read the other reviews. My truck was broken into as someone smashed my rear passenger window to get a backpack. Worthless security as at least two other vehicles were burglarized as well. Never going back.
*SECURITY CAMERAS DONT WORK. ALSO THE SECURITY COMPANY DOESNT COVER THAT PROPERTY*
The cameras and security company covering the property doesn't work. We had our vehicle broken into same with the one next to us. Called the security company and they inform us they don't cover that property any more. We were also informed the security cameras no longer work on the property.
DO NOT PARK HERE! Lots of theft. Used to have security and working surveillance cameras. Now the security is gone and the cameras don't work. Thieves are stealing catalytic converters, batteries and breaking into cars. (Especially catalytic converters, many have been stolen.) The city and police do nothing. You are better off driving into SF and parking in a private garage with security for your commute.
Do not park here it is not at all safe. Came back after a night in SF to find thief’s drilled a hole in the bottom of my fuel tank and stole my gas, now I have a $2,000 estimate to replace tank. Do not pay the city of Vallejo to park here. They do not provide security.
Do not park here, zero security or support. My window was smashed in.
AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. Avoid parking anywhere near the ferry building. My catalytic converter was stolen. Cameras do not work and there is no security patrolling this place.
Do yourself a favor and Uber or Lyft to the ferry. It is much cheaper than having to replace a stolen car part. Listen to the reviews.
