Wonderful place! Service was quick and friendly. The food was very good, made fresh, I highly recommend the fries, they're excellent! The owner came, sat with us for a bit, and chatted with us, answered any questions we had. You can tell how important the community is to them, they are proud of the personal connections they make with others in the community. Highly recommend!

An absolute gem of a place. From the atmosphere to the food to the service - LOVE THIS PLACE!!! Everything made to order and Chef Angie is simply amazing. Shout out to Tara, my server today, and Juliana!! Can't wait to eat there again.. Don't forget to ask about the Balla Burrito which is named after me ????
While stopping by on our way through town, our whole family had a superb experience at Valerie's. The atmosphere was cute and welcoming and the staff was kind and attentive. The food was all excellent, highlights including a homemade chicken noodle soup, bloody Mary grilled cheese, the Kenzie Michigan Salad and the chicken Caesar wrap. For dessert we split a strawberry rhubarb cake that was not only adorable, but perfectly moist and sweet. Truly couldn't have asked for a better lunch!
We were looking for a new place to try after enjoy the historical museum and this place showed up. Glad we went! The food was delicious and the staff was wonderful. Priscilla was our waitress and she was very pleasant! We tried the loaded fries, chicken bacon ranch wrap and half order of BBQ chicken Flatbread. Everything was made very quickly and tasted amazing! I can't decide if I liked the fries or the wrap more! Next time we are in the area, we will definitely be back!
This is a mixed bag. I went here on a suggestion. Walking in was awkward with the seating set up. And then the table where you pay is hidden in the dark around the corner. Followed by there being a random wall at the end where the kitchen is. Just gave off a weird vibe. And then a group of seemingly regulars held the door open for over 5 minutes in the middle of winter as they chatted with themselves. For some reason. And no employee said anything as the people are the tables near the door were complaining, myself included.
Service was a little slower than what would seem usual due to being lunch and only a single server being available. The food was really good, I will applaud that. However, the price for a burger and "accompanied" fries is a bit much.
Lastly, I find it incredibly unhealthy and disgusting to have a dog freely roaming the dining area. It is against health code violations without a doubt. And then for it to go table to table for an hour literally BEGGING for food, just ruins the entire experience as it is annoying and gross.
I wanted to like it, but definitely won't be returning with a dog wandering around asking for my expensive meal repeatedly.
I highly recommend this restaurant. The vibe and atmosphere is perfect for anyone looking for a quick bite to eat that also wants to enjoy dining in at the location as well. They will play all of your favorite songs and you can rest assured that the food is absolutely amazing and delicious
We had a special valentine's day dinner. The food was amazing. Sausage and apinach stuffed mushrooms were absolutely divine. My boyfriend had the chicken portobello marsala pasta and I had a smothered ribeye, both were excellent. The atmosphere was great and so were the servers. Hats off to the chef and the owner for a fantastic night. We will definitely be back.
