Attended today for inflamed ankle joints when has been failed by my local GP surgery for weeks. Staff were really helpful and friendly, was in and out within an hour with a possible diagnosis and some medication. Cracking service, keep up the good work.
I was recently discharged from hospital with a deep open wound that would require daily packing and dressing. My GP surgery failed to provide help for this or direct me where I could receive help. I'm immunosuppressive so the monitoring of my wound is vital. UTC do not get funding for this but were the only place willing to help me. I have been every day for dressing changes and the HCAs that have done it have been amazing, huge thankyou to try UTC for helping me when nobody else would
Was virtually refused to be seen. Was referred here from 111 and told to be seen within an hour which suggests to me that it is urgent. Lady at UTC was adamant that even if I am seen I will be told to go to the GP virtually refusing treatment.
I walked in after suffering a broken toe injury and I was met by a friendly nurse who gave me guidance on what to do and where to sit. After filling in a brief form, I was tended to by said nurse and they treated my toe straight away without having to wait in the waiting room. She gave me advise and what to do and even had a doctor provide a second opinion before sending me on my way. Very quick and friendly service. Best experience at a hospital I have ever had so far.
The staff here are real life angels, they don’t teach you the level of kindness they brought to me on my experience. That comes from their genuine kindness and passion with wanting to help. The wait times are long but that isn’t the doctors or nurses fault, they are doing their best, kindness goes such a long way. If I ever need help again, I would choose this unit as my first point of call.

I would give no stars if I could
Daughter was sent by GP with suspected sepsis no throat swab no blood tests basic observations and discharged Within an hour with a different antibiotic TABLET even though she’d already had antibiotics for SIX days and hadn’t managed to keep fluids let alone tablets down so gave her another tablet! Still that in out approach should keep the days figures looking good ????
So completely impressed by the triage nurses and doctors last night. Arrived and filled out the form by the time I’d got my coat off they’d already come over and started looking at my sons injury within 15 minutes they’d written him a prescription and sent it to the 24 hours pharmacy. Was so quick we didn’t even have to pay for parking - thank you for being so lovely and looking after my son so quickly x
