We drove out here after helping my son move out from his dorm. Parking will be a little tricky because they don't have their own parking lot and the parking lots next to it are for other businesses. Street parking will be your best option. They have outdoor and indoor seating. The server, Jake, was friendly. We all ordered the breakfast cheesesteaks and some pierogies as an appetizer. There's so much to look at while you wait! I'm not a Philly fan but seeing all the Philly decor was cool. The food came out about fifteen minutes after we ordered. Thought it was a little long since we were the first customers there but Jake did tell us it would take about fifteen minutes. The food was definitely worth the wait! The periogies were fantastic. Definitely get them with onion. The hashbrowns with onions were REALLY good. Hot, crispy, and delicious. And the breakfast cheesesteak?! Oh my @!#%& goodness!!! The fried eggs and bacom put the delicious cheesesteak over the top. I can't wait to go back.
Driving back from visiting friends further up on the east coast, and there was almost nothing available right by the interstate. Given an urge for cheesesteaks or grinders that I didn't have a chance to get back up north, I found this place Urgies selling cheesesteaks, and honestly, what convinced me to give it a chance was the Philadelphia Eagles jersey on their website.
Fantastic little college bar (so don't expect much room), and parking can be weird, but the food was legit (they offered cheese whiz) and offered all the toppings. Definitely recommend it if you want a legit cheesesteak sandwich. Even the day before St. Patrick's, it was easy to get into and find a spot to eat, and service was quick and friendly, though the check out was a little protracted since the hand held checkout asked several questions before finishing the transaction.
What a wonderful place. Limited seating but a great atmosphere. Incredible steak sandwich’s! Seriously great food. The owner personally came out and served us on a wild Saturday. These people care about their customers and it shows. Highly recommend!
Hands down the spot to come to if you're in the area. What an amazing experience. Please come and try because they have so much to offer anyone.
This place is a nice spot to have in Harrisonburg. I love the expanded inside that they opened in 2023. The bar service is great, it can get packed on weekends so slower but it’s understandable. Landon is the best bartender ever! Whatever he puts in the Trashcans gets the job done. What a guy! I could go on and on. He a little crazy though.
Man I just love me some Urgies Cheesesteaks. The food is great and the drinks go dummy, and one of the workers there, Landon, always makes it a good time. He always brings the energy and makes sure everyone is enjoying themselves!
My family and I were passing through Virginia headed back to Atlanta, Georgia. I ordered a cheesesteak w/ provolone cheese, onions, mushrooms and tator tots. Everything was hot and delicious! Very hearty as well. When I travel through Virginia again I will be sure to stop by! 10/10
By far my favorite spot in downtown Harrisonburg, not only do they have the best cheesesteaks outside of Philly but they have the best service out of any restaurant I’ve been too. The bartender McKenzie is an absolute rockstar and always makes me feel extremely welcome. The owner Tommy is also an amazing guy, when you talk to him you feel like you’ve known him forever. 10/10
