Very disappointing. He (tried) installing a new thermostat, (albeit not very well) in fact in the words of two veteran mechanics it was the most negligent piece of work they had ever seen, they couldn't understand how he had managed to do it incorrectly! He also said he'd come back to fix it and never turned up (basic manners really). It could've been a lack of knowledge although was more than likely a lack of attention to detail. Either way what should've been a cheap quick fix has ended up being very , very expensive. To be safe maybe use another mechanic there's plenty to choose from.
Scam. Got ripped off by a mechanic called Ugur with excellent reviews on their site from U.P. Automotive Services ,London .I should have followed my instinct the second I explained my car problem to this mechanic who came to check my car.I have already paid him £76.39 I was assured by clickMechanic, the online agency, that he's a good mechanic but unfortunately he wasn't and never give me a correct decision after his checks
I explained to him that my car wouldn't start after driving for 20- 30 mins , he checked the battery, then he just topped up my cooling with half a glass of water and advised me to monitor my car for 10 Days and call him back. My car still has the same
problem. I feel I have been scammed and robbed by Ugur the mechanic
I asked for a refund but he refused
Why I should defend myself, you never diagnosed the problem , you asked me what the AA advised me, and I told you they told me is the starter motor. If you diagnosed the problem first why you asked me to monitor the car for 10 days. Again I paid you £76.39 and no £176.39 it was a typing mistake and I corrected it
You asked me to monitor the car and send you a video of my car when not starting or what does the car when I turn the key? This happened after you finished your diagnostic and left
If you know about car mechanic you wouldn't ask these questions especially after you checked my car, you should come to a final decision
You are guessing and finally you said is the starter motor because is the AA advice
Update: Took my car to a proper garage and they found a loose wire. My car is working fine since this fix

Had an induction kit & diverter valve fitted in & also had coding done on my Audi and I’ve got to say I’m very happy with the outcome, very good prices and gets on with the job no wasting time. The sunroof on my Audi decided it didn’t want to close in the cold. Contacted UP Automotives and we had the issue sorted before it became a bigger problem. Also had an oil & filter change + coolant flush & renewal. Reasonable prices and professional service, highly recommended
Needed a full service but have been unable to visit a garage. This is perfect, mobile auto services, with super reasonable prices, for those with busy schedules. Did a quick but thorough job. Would highly recommend UP.

Didn't even realise there was mobile servicing. He came quickly after answering the phone promptly. Car needed oil change and a jump start, then a new battery change and brake change. All done and my car is back to its normal self. Thanks mate will be recommending to others
