Extremely Disappointing Experience: Beware!
I entrusted both of my cars to Unique Motor Service for MOT, Service, and a seemingly straightforward brake pad and disc replacement. However, what followed turned into a nightmare.
After their suggestion to replace these components, my cars started emitting unsettling sounds while driving. Initially, I was reassured by Cash, the owner, that this was normal due to the new replacements. Yet, the issue persisted and worsened over time.
Repeated visits and excuses about a full booking led to months of back-and-forth. Despite their attempts to blame hardware or make adjustments, the problem remained unresolved. What's more frustrating is their refusal to acknowledge the possibility of workmanship issues despite both cars experiencing identical problems.
Four months later, one technician suggested a different brake disc, only to have Cash dismiss the suggestion and insist on purchasing original parts from BMW—at my expense. This lack of accountability and reluctance to rectify their mistake is simply unacceptable.
It's evident that their service lacks the expertise and commitment to resolving issues, leaving customers like me deeply dissatisfied and out of pocket. I strongly caution against trusting them with your vehicle—this experience has left me regretful and eager to prevent others from encountering the same ordeal.
Roman was helpful, friendly, cheerful, but not overwhelming like some blokes are. Average price for the job, so no problems there at all. Very busy place, so can take a couple of weeks to get in. No ramp free when I got there. But car was done within an hour & half. Will use this garage again. Felt very welcome & not extorted ????
Have been using unique for many years, they have always given great service, and they don't try to con you in anyway.
I will continue to go there for work on my car, no matter what anyone says.
Brought my Yaris in for a full service as well as for some repairs that came up on the MOT. Garage is brilliant, nice chaps working there.
