I stopped by Uncle Vait's Pizza in Lexington for their Meatloaf Special. The meatloaf with brown gravy had great flavor, and was some of the best I've had in a restaurant. I'm definitely looking forward to having it again soon.
The garlic bread was a good, sweet Italian bread. Something else I loved was that instead of getting a side of fries or coleslaw, I was able to choose a side of spaghetti with meat sauce! I also enjoyed the house-made ranch dressing. Courtney was a great server.
I also got 2 pizzas to go. One was a thin crust taco pizza for my wife, with toppings on the side (toppings not pictured). The other was a deep dish pizza. Both pizzas were good.
And for all this food, the price before tip was around $32, I believe. Incredible.
The pizza was great the waitress we had was very nice & knowing this is on Route 66 is just so cool !!!
This place blew my mind. I travel all over the country for work and I prefer locally owned and operated restaurants. I stopped in on my travels Just looking for some food to get me through the day. I had the meat lovers kind of omelet and from the first bite to the last it reminded me of home nestled in the foot hills of the smokey mountains. The flavor and balance was unbelievable. It is rare that food can bring back those memories. This place achieved what I thought was impossible. It is my new breakfast place. I will gladly drive the 100+ miles from home for their food. The prices are incredible as well and the service was amazing. If your new to the area or passing through this is a must try. And they are about 10 minutes from Towanda
WARNING: Pizza does not have sauce! They consider large crushed tomatoes sprinkled over the top the "sauce." Bread shaped into a flat circle with melted cheese does not make a pizza. Will not be returning.
If you plan to enjoy their outdoor patio area, change your plans. It's closed because the covered ceiling has fallen in on it.
We went here on Mother's day hoping it wouldn't be too busy and got right in. We had a sweetheart of a waitress and the food was excellent. All of us cleaned our plates including my 7 year old with a full dinner plate of biscuits and gravy. We all had breakfast and will be back for more.
Absolutely horrible!! Server obviously hates her job. After 10 minutes she took our drink order water, diet. Took 15min for her to bring the drinks. Took food order which she brought out the soups which were spilt on the plates. Brings food and never checked on us. Finally brings the check and she disappeared. After 20 minutes we got a different server to place an order to go. Then she disappeared. Finally after 20 more minutes we went to the register and still waited to be cashed out. Then she asked if we wanted the to go order. Waited on that (2 sides mashed potatoes no gravy) she comes out with 1 side with gravy. Then tells us we probably don’t want to wait for the 2 sides we actually ordered. Nightmare and now late for our appointment. Never again. Negative zero stars
Easily the worst pizza I've ever eaten. There is no sauce on the pizza. They put crushed tomatoes on top and they call that a sauce. It is awful. Do not recommend. Will not go back. 0/10.
Great place along Route 66. Friendly service and unique offerings. We were biking in the rain and were able to sit it out while enjoying a great lunch. We have the Cuda, the Crisper, onion rings and fried mushrooms. Sandwiches come with a cup of soup, which was this day - stuffed green pepper soup - really warmed us up after coming in from the rain.
