A true 5/5!!
Delicious food.
We came in around 12:15 on a Saturday and they were able to immediately seat our party of 6.
Service was quick and waiter was helpful.
Cute and clean bathroom.
The freshly baked pita that we watched go into the big oven was just a cherry on top!
The only thing I didn’t love was the turkey bacon but otherwise I’m in love
We went here on a busy Saturday morning, I would recommend making a reservation, we didn’t have one but the hostess managed to seat us right away. The food was beyond amazing! The pita was super fresh and velvety on the inside! We had had the mezze platter, falafel sandwich and lemonades. Their Pitza looked very interesting… will be back to try that next.
One of the best mediterranean restaurants I’ve been to. The portions were huge and the quality of the food was amazing. Everything tasted so fresh and well seasoned. They way that the ingredients and flavors were paired in the dishes were perfect. Sweet, savory, citrusy, and vinegar-y. Would come here every single day if I lived near here! The service is also amazing. Could not recommend this place more!! Will be coming here every single time I’m in the area.
One of my go-to Happy Hour places. We love a BYOB in this economy. Grab yourself a bottle of wine (or two) and order the Momo Mezze with an extra side of fresh pita. The Babaganoush is the best I've ever had! I also highly recommend the flatbed.
If you're staying for dinner, the lamb chops are perfection.
We went for brunch here with our friends with 2 small kids. The staff was very accommodating and also prepared a strawberry sandwich ???? for kids. The pita and hummus was yum and also cherished by small kid. Chicken shawarma and falafel sandwiches were yum and very filling. Greek omelette and eggs florentine were delicious. Would highly recommend for goood food and courteous service
It's a pretty good restaurant to have food in. I tried the Veggie Pitza, yes 'Pitza', the base is similar to the pita bread, not the usual pizza dough, but it tastes great. They have a few different varieties of pitzas. The sauce they provided on the side, when asked. Now those made it way better than I expected. Just because of that chilli sauce I would love to go there again. So definitely go try out there sometime.
Update: Falafels are something else. Oh man never had falafel so crispy and tasty at the same time. Definitely try them.
Food was good- beets, Babaganoush, chicken pita sandwich, falafel, salmon sandwich.
Service fell short as the waitress never dropped to check on us. We had to flag someone down when we needed any refills or to add a dessert order.
A must for any house party!!
We ordered catering trays for a birthday party with 30 guests. We worked directly with the owner Wissam to custom curate the dishes and Wissam was so so helpful through out the process, right from sitting down with us to discuss the menu to ensuring the food was ready well within time for the pickup. He was always available on text and phone and super responsive.
We ordered the Muhammara and Babaganoush as appetizers, the Chicken Shawarma platters and Mousaka Viggie trays for main course and a tray of the Baklava as the dessert. Uncle Momo's Muhammara is the best Muhammara we have eaten in the New York/NJ area. Granted Mediterranean food is having a moment in NYC and being residents here we routinely try all new restaurants that open up here but no one has come close to serving a Muhammara as good as Uncle Momo's. Wissam added a large number of freshly baked pita breads to be enjoyed with the cold appetizers and our guests just loved it. Everything else was super tasty and the Chcken Shawarma over spice rice was an instant hit with all our guests. The chicken was cooked to perfection and was still so juicy with minimal oil, something that is not easy to pull off with Shawarmas without lacing it with oil. The eggplant Mousaka was baked and spiced to perfection. The Baklava was baked in Ghee and was an absolute delight to top of a very sumptuous and tasty meal.
Wissam pays great attention to detail. The food was perfectly wrapped in individual trays. Wissam added a tray of spicy sumac onions, cucumber pickles and hot sauces as accompaniments to the order. I am sharing pictures of the Muhammara and the Babaganoush! I really wish we had taken pictures of the main course too to show you what an amazing job the team had done to pack everything. The pricing for the catering menu is perfect. Be sure to give this restaurant a try for your next Mediterranean dinner or house party and you will not regret your decision at all!!
THANK YOU team Uncle Momo!!! We are your customers for life and wish you great success!!
