This is definitely a hidden gem in greenock. The food is absolutely amazing the service is genuinely phenomenal and honestly think I've just met the nicest person ever. Guy who served me could be the happiest friendliest person on this plant. 100% be back. Or please come to paisley
I had the Beef Rendang (with added fried egg!) and it was absolutely delicious. Staff were great and it had a fantastic and friendly atmosphere to the place. An easy recommend, and I'll be back for sure.
Really can't fault the food from UMAMI. The dishes are authentic and beautiful presented. We were lucky to have a chat with the talented chef and friendly staff before the influx of customers. Definitely will be regulars of UMAMI.
Fantastic wee place. Food is amazing and freshly made while you wait. Best chicken wings ever! (crispy and coated in a sticky tamarind glaze), the special Bun Bo Hue was delicious, amazing textures and tastes all in one bowl ( what's not to love). The 2 guys serving were really lovely, will definitely be back to try more fabulous dishes.
Tiny place but very welcoming and helpful with choices. I had Tonkotsu Ramen a creamy garlicky base with pork belly and handmade noodles. It was delicious and I was very aware of the many layers of flavours. I’ll be back . . .
Wow. What an awesome, tasty meal we had in this place. Excellent, speedy service and great food to go (or sit in). We'll certainly be back.
Opening day for any establishment tends to be chaotic and stressful, but when I happened to walk by and see the front door open I just couldn't resist. And I'm glad I didn't! The service was warm and welcoming, and the staff were very efficient. Benn was engaging, even while he worked a mile a minute.
The food was absolutely fantastic. We got the Tonkotsu Ramen and karaage donburi and enjoyed every bite. The portion sizes are very generous. I ate some of mine in the shop and had some left over to eat later in the day.
The best part is the open kitchen. My toddler could have stayed there and watched them work all day! If this is what opening day looks like, I imagine it's only going to get better from here. We can't wait to go back!
The quality of the food here is exceptional. Freshly made noodles for the ramen, all freshly assembled with love in front of you.
It's very apparent the chefs take great pride in their creations. Simply on another level.
