Excellent service ????????????????! It doesn't look fancy and the service is exceptional and they take their time during the pedicure and manicure process. I finally convinced my wife's to get gel nails. It came out nice!
Nice n fast thre women get the job done
This was the worse nail experience ever. My nails look horrible a complete waste of money. And as I told the lady I didn’t like it and instructed her what to do she ignored me and kept saying she was not finished. The finished product was terrible and I didn’t have time to have someone else fix it. It took her an hour and 30 mins to do the absolute worse job ever. Paint, acrylic and French tip is uneven, like how does a professional screw up all categories? I’m so upset that I wasted my money DO NOT EVER GO HERE. and to put the icing on the cake, they are not very sterile. Just have yourself the hassle. 0/10 would not recommend
the workers are pretty nice and friendly, bilingual(chinese & english), but the nails weren't my favorite
Many unpleasant experiences over the past few years, spanning multiple visits.
I went back a few times before writing any negative reviews to give them a fair chance (everyone has off days) to check if things had gotten better, but the most resent time (this past weekend - 11/18/2017) was the worst time yet.
I basically had to undo their entire hair-do as soon as I got home less than an hour later because it was falling apart and totally unacceptable to go to a wedding.
I would've returned to demand my money back of I wasn't running late from having to waste time doing my own hair (which is what I was trying to avoid by paying them to do it for me).
I have the following complaints:
- Pressure you into tipping before completing services.
^ I know it is common place to pay before applying nail polish for regular manicures to avoid smudging before it dries, but they refuse to continue until you tip them (even though the point of a tip is to show gratitude for services rendered, so that portion is typically reserved until after, so that the amount can theoretically be based on the quality of the service itself, which can't be properly judged until it's competed)
- Switch people as many times as possible in an attempt to get more tips.
^ ie. Had 5 different employees working on my nails and hair (1 for pedicure, 1 for manicure, 1 to wash hair, 1 to curl hair, and 1 to "braid" hair in a very simple regular braid)
- Cheaped out on bobby pins for up-do.
^ Used only 2 Bobby pins (these were very low quality, sharp metal, instead of rounded edge pins which do not scratch your scalp) and 2 small rubber bands (these stick to your hair, instead of hair elastics which did not snag) to hold a braided crown up-do in place, so it was not a huge surprise that it did not last past leaving the salon (tried to reposition limited hardware they provided when it fell out, but it was not enough to keep the hairstyle in place, thereby forcing me to take it down altogether and start from scratch).
- Denied my hairstyle request for an up-do but tried to charge me for one anyway.
^ They told me they could not style my hair in a bun because it was too short (it is about 2 inches below shoulder length) even though I've gotten it styled that way in the event past with my hair being slightly shorter. They then tried to charge me the up-do price (of $35), even though they basically only curled it (which only costs $15) with one simple braid, so they settled somewhere in the middle (everyone up paying $25 plus tax and tip)
- Made nail beds bleed.
^ took off 1-week old tips with metro card (w/o soaking them first) ripping my natural nails to shreds, and then told me there wasn't enough left off them to glue new nails onto so I was forced to be a bridesmaid at a wedding with embarrassing destroyed nails - they should have either done it contractually without hurting me, or known that removing them was impossible and filled them instead. This is my favorite nail salon, love doing my acrylic nails here. I would recommend going to Maggie to do your nails by. I’m never disappointed when she does my nails. She’s sweetheart.
I’ve been coming here for about 10 years now. Love to get my hair washed and done because it’s always great…..only downfall is that they get rude about leaving tips. If they feel like it’s not enough, they will rudely complain.
