Best KPortal Reviews

This was possibly the best dinner that I’ve had in a long time. The flavors were off the charts! My friend and I shared several of their desserts and couldn’t decide which one was our favorite, they were all sooo good! I had their steak as my entree and though it was good, it definitely didn’t compare to the other food that we ordered. I’ll skip the steak and get one somewhere else and try something more unique here next time.
I will always love Tzuco, however, I truly feel like they out did themselves for valentine’s. From the moment we walked in we were greeted by the host and the manager. Menus were modified for valentines and printed with hearts. Food always outstanding as service and hospitality. Every couple was given a rose and the Rose dessert is so mesmerizing - flavor wise as presentation wise. Can’t wait to be back!
A friend & I went for a mid-week dinner. This lovely restaurant has been open quite a while but for some reason, I had never doned there. I am so glad I finally experienced what Tzuco has to offer.
The room gives urban rustic vibes. Wicker, concrete, metal and earth tones is the perfect backdrop for our stylish meal.
Franco, our server gave off a cool vibe but eventually warmed up. He was helpful and gave a percent red wine recommendation.
Our food was fun, creative and gorgeous. The layers of flavor combined with the presentation made a fantastic meal. We were blown away by everything.
Parking was easy so that made things nice. The price point lined up with the quality experience we received. I definitely recommend Tzuco.
Let me start off by saying WOW!!! My recent visit to Tzuco was a delightful experience! From the flavorful food to the amazing service! (And I went with a 6 month old, they were so kind and accommodating) The food was truly exceptional, and I couldn't get enough of their duck and savory waffle. The duck was perfectly cooked, like falling off the bone, while the waffle was a surprise being more savory than sweet. The whole experience was top-notch, from the chic ambiance to the attentive staff.
I can't wait to return!
I had the pleasure of dining at this Mexican cuisine restaurant today for dinner, and I must say, it was a truly delightful experience. The food was not only tasty but also incredibly creative, showcasing unique flavors and presentations that truly set it apart from other Mexican restaurants I have visited.
We chose to celebrate a birthday at this restaurant, and it turned out to be the perfect choice for a special occasion. The ambiance was lively and festive, adding to the celebratory atmosphere of the evening.
Despite having visited this restaurant before and being equally impressed, I was slightly disappointed to find that they had removed the arroz con leche dessert from their menu. Nevertheless, we decided to try a variety of dishes to make up for it.
Some of the standout dishes we tried included the tuna ceviche, A La Talla, Costillas de Res, Salmon Maya, and Cochinita Pibil. Each dish was expertly prepared and bursting with flavor, showcasing the skill and creativity of the chef. The Costillas de Res, in particular, stood out to me for its tender and delicious meat that paired perfectly with the tortillas provided.
Upon, reviewing the check again as I prepared to write this review I also realized that we were charged for a drink we didn’t have. Now, it’s definitely on us for not double checking the bill when it came, but it never should have been charged to us anyway. Cocktails are around $20 at Tzuco.. so be sure to double check your bill!!
In addition to the food, we also sampled a selection of drinks including rose margaritas, espresso martinis, and the Mexican Negroni. Each drink was expertly crafted and complemented our meal beautifully.
Overall, our dining experience at this restaurant was nothing short of fantastic. My family had a great time. Whether you're looking for a fun night out with friends, a cozy dinner with family, or a romantic date night, this restaurant is sure to please. I highly recommend giving it a try for a taste of delicious and creative Mexican cuisine.
Sat at the chef's counter and we are a excellent dinner full of flavor and very well balanced. We shared the guacamole, Mayan ceviche, charred octopus, and cochinita pibil. All the dishes are very well executed and tasty. Accompanied with exceptionally tasty and theatrical cocktails. The generous portions are great for sharing.
I would've liked to try the original guacamole with crispy grasshoppers (the crispy pork belly is still very good). We waited a long time for a second serving of tortillas.
A massive restaurant that looks great for celebrating a special occasion or a fun date. I enjoyed the food at Frontera Grill felt a bit more, but the atmosphere and cocktails at tzuco were nicer.
If you are a fan of Ummo, you should come give Tzuco a try. This is upscale Mexican at its finest, there are a lot of thoughts being put into the food and even the decor and atmosphere setting.
I personally love the interior design, little pieces of the old world and new clashing in the same space but separated. The dishes have the same theme, the ingredients, spices, cooking methods are nothing new, but they have been combined with new disciplines and supplements. In other words, Tzuco is giving you the traditional Mexican cuisine with a slightly different spin.
The plating is definitely superb, great service. Good wine and drink selections, just enough, not overwhelming. Price points are just right.
The butternut squash soup is sweet and refreshing when you first spoon into it, the pumpkin seeds give you the texture, and the berries and cinnamon lift your taste buds toa different level, all this before the spice kicks in. The level of spice to me is just right but could be a bit overwhelming for some.
The Tetela and the Pescadilla were very good but expected, the wow factor is the plating. I actually found the squid ink tortilla too be a bit too thick and tough.
The Chile Relleno was just ok, again expected. The Cochinita Pibil (pork shank) was undoubtedly one of the most fall of the bone tender shank that I have had, but the sauce mixed with the black bean pure was not a very good compliment to the pork, it didn't do anything for me.
The desserts on the other hand were awesome, I mean, corn ice cream made into the shape of corn? Nice. I am not even a dessert person. I will definitely come back to try out the other dishes.
This is an upscale Mexican restaurant. I do like the creativity going into the menu and dishes. They have different versions of some of the dishes so they might look totally different from one year ago. I had an older version of the steak tartare and thought it was okay like a ⅗. It could use more seasoning. The red snapper was expensive and I would not get this again. The portion size in reality is like for one person. I shared it with my girlfriend and yeah we should have ordered another entree. ⅖. The best part of the dinner was the dessert. The hazelnut sponge cake’s presentation was very aesthetic and it tasted wonderful. 5/5. Service was good. We sat outside so not sure how the inside looks.
