Thanks to David, who came out today (I have Smart Rescue as my provider). Someone had tried to steal my motorbike and had made a mess of my steering lock. He got my bike going again, and I was able to ride back to Glasgow from Sheffield. Came on time despite the traffic and a friendly and helpful presence.

£160 for single rear coil spring replacement.

I asked twigg bros to replace a failed suspension spring on the rear nearside of my 2011 Suzuki swift. While they had it completed in 3 days which I applaud, I feel it was an expensive job and a half job.

Coil springs should be replaced in pairs per axle (for obvious reasons like ride height and tyre wear) however at the time I was told “we only usually replace one at time” which I didn’t think much off. However my car is at 110,000 miles so if one spring is failed, the other is sure close.

It was also £160 for just one spring to be replaced, I would understand this price if it was BOTH springs, perhaps nearer the £200, but I feel this price for just ONE to be replaced is high (considering rear coils and easier to replace too) , especially after talking to my local mechanic (I only study in Sheffield).

All together while they were polite and moderately quick to resolve my issue, I now feel it is only a matter of time until I am stranded again with a broken spring, this time the rear offside.

Came out for a dynamo covered breakdown. Really friendly bloke, got the car started in no time. Great service. Thank you for all your help.

Very good when they brought the correct recovery vehicle. Very helpfull staff on the phone, just a pity I lost my position at the garage for fixing my vehicle. Most say the problem was because of it being a motirhome that would not fit the first recovery truck so was a day late gaetting to garage. Would definetly use again
