Turkey and Swiss all day for me. The food is as friendly and easy going as the owner and the dining area. No frills. No apologies. The atmosphere is very plain but I give it 4stars for being clean neat and organized. The food is made to order, one order at a time. Subs filled to bursting and the oil drizzle and signature seasoning he puts on top is perfect.
Ham sub salad, had more salad than ham. Should have ordered Conventional sandwich instead! My order was wrong had to do over. Other than over priced, and owner was mad at having to work at age 76, and no one can do their job, and can't find good help and on and on. $25.00 for two salads and drinks. Did I say no one seems happy these days.
I had a gift card that I sorta forgot about, but recently kept seeing this place all over some of the Facebook food groups I'm in. Everyone raved about it, so we dug it up and made our way over (ok my wife did, I got held up at work lol). Off the bat my wife texts me at how friendly the owner is , greeting and talking to her about his day etc. The bread is fresh made locally from a Mennonite Baker, and is super soft and fluffy, while also not overwhelming the sub (you still taste the meat!) We got a couple cheese steaks and they were delish. Good amount of meat, lots of melty cheese, and the seasoned lettuce is amazing. There is a bunch of great looking combinations on the menu, so I can't wait to try more. Just wish they were open just a tiny tad bit later to make going after work not feel rushed, but it's worth it regardless.
I ordered a salad. Mind you they say the lettuce is seasoned. No flavor asked for dressing they don't have any besides ranch. Who sales salads with no options of dressing. The lettuce was slimy. First time eating there and will be the last.
Visiting from Ft Lauderdale and my husband Ebby and I had to stop by here and grab a sub. Everything is so fresh and taste so good. Service is so friendly. I'll definitely be back here whenever I come to visit.
Not impressed at all. I got a cheeseteak sub that had very little bits of meat on it and a lot of veggies which made it look full but there wasn't much meat at all. There was also very little taste. The fries were good. The wings are dry, although the sauce was good and so was the ranch dressing. It did take them over 30mins to get our food ready and it wasn't busy so if you are planning to come here don't expect anything quick, or you might want to call ahead.
I have no idea how this place has gained such a high rating...
From the moldy ceiling panels, stained flooring and countertops, the stench of cigarettes flowing the air as the workers step just outside the front door to smoke, to the store bought, mediocre sandwich items...this place gives off more bar vibes than restaurant/sub place.
The sub condiments were taken out of packaging and the bread stale and old. The prices are outrageously priced for the quality you receive.
Maybe a year ago (the average time of these ratings) this place was decent but most definitely not now. I rarely do bad reviews but this place is deserving of one of my lowest rated places.
Been a customer for 20+yrs The best subs, salads and so much more! Always fresh and Delicious ????
