This is truly a place where you can see the grandeur of American construction and engineering. From afar you take in the viaduct and as you begin to think about how these enormous structures were built. Take advantage of the picnic tables and the peace and quiet. Then as you begrudgingly leave you can drive by the base of the viaduct and be shocked at how big of a job this was. So do yourself a favor and take a look at this part of American history.
Pretty amazing structure in Green County, Indiana.
Haven’t seen a train go across yet, but it’s definitely an interesting piece of history!
Very neat bridge. Little spot to park and enjoy.
We used to visit the “Tulip Trestle” every October as a family. My grandparents had their first date there. Back in the day that was the place to go for picnics (as was told by my grandmother). So many good memories there.
Amazing piece of standing history being preserved.
