For sure one of the best golf course in Scotland. Beautifull views,, very nice design, well maintain fairways and greens. We play it the 05 of July 2023 just after Royal Troon. It definitely worth it. Don’t hear about stupid comments with bad ratings because excepts for jealousy, it is imposible to not enjoy this course.
Just a brilliant golfing experience. And the fish and chips were not bad either !
A magnificent location with the incredible Trump Turnberry hotel in a pastoral location in lovely Scotland. The historic Turnberry is a treasure trove in the history of golf and several other sports such as bowling and tennis. It also played an important role in aviation during both World Wars. Surrounding the hotel is one of the most important golf courses in the world. Not far away are the Turnberry light house that Trump restored, the Maidens, a quaint village, and other points of interest.
One piece of advice, don't come during winter. If you do, come prepared for strong winds and chilly rain.
Very nice walk around sides of course and up to lighthouse you can also visit the war memorial which has fabulous views of the coast. Please respect the golfers playing the course when visiting.
Beautiful decor and stunning views. Sandwiches tasty and pricey! Latte £5.50 overpriced.
Lovely relaxing late lunch but expensive.
A hidden gem wonderful friendly staff excellent food well prepared and presented. Also restaurant if you are just looking for a good meal. Excellent views highly recommend
Although one might be intimidated by the entrance and its surroundings, as soon as you speak to the first member of staff the worry eases off with sheer friendliness of them.
The course, of course, is in the highest condition you could expect. The greens are fast and firm, the fairways green and soft, and the tee boxes perfectly flat. Each hole is unique, with it's own challenges presented to every style of golfer.
Unfortunately I wasn't able to experience food at the halfway house, though the view earns itself 5/5.
A true magical experience and one I would do again.
What a fantastic golf course and in great condition in March. Very challenging from the back tees.
