If I could give 0 stars I would I arrived to this location at 835 after my son soccer practice i did see that they close at 9pm
So I asked my son what he wanted so we can order past the young lady heard me tell
My son if he wanted the turkey cheddar wrap and then my son said no a quesadilla so after she told we are no longer doing food I said at all ? She said yes but I could only make the wrap if that’s what you guys want to eat ? I said no it’s fine let’s go. Unacceptable behavior they just wanted to continue cleaning so they can leave and the smell at this location is terrible. I don’t know who is the manager but they need to correct there employees I was really looking forward to drink my smoothie and food. I will never come back to this location and I will be sure to let my son soccer team as well
I must say that this place has done a 180 from last school year. I am a teacher at a near by elementary school, and last year I stopped coming because my smoothies never came out right. I decided to try again in October and ever since then my smoothies are always on time, and they are perfect every time.
On May 5th, 2024, I visited the Tropical Smoothie Café located at 15475 Annapolis Road in Bowie, MD. I've frequented many Tropical Smoothie locations without issue. However, during this visit, I ordered my usual: the Strawberry Chai Banana Boost, along with salt and vinegar chips, and a cookie.
Upon reaching my car, I discovered that the chips provided were Jalapeno flavored, not salt and vinegar as requested. Furthermore, upon tasting my smoothie, I realized it tasted predominantly of peanut butter. This was concerning as I've ordered this drink numerous times and it has never tasted this way before.
Approaching the front counter to address these concerns, I was met with resistance. Despite only taking a sip of the drink and the cup being full, I was informed that I would need to purchase another if I wanted it remade. The manager's response was dismissive and unhelpful, leaving me feeling frustrated and disappointed.
Given the proximity of this establishment to my workplace and my previous positive experiences, it's disheartening to feel compelled to never return. The lack of willingness to rectify an obvious error in the order, coupled with the dismissive attitude from management, tarnishes the overall experience. It's disheartening to feel that customer satisfaction is not a priority.
This food is a disgrace, I didn't want to give any stars, but in order to write my review I had to. I visited this place on March 27th with my co-worker trying to get dinner, it was my second choice since the Chipotle had a sign on there door. Anyways, I ordered a Baja chicken, but in a bowl it comes in a wrap, but I always get it in a bowl. The lady who I gave my order to I explained this & I said no blk beans. She went in the back to ask whoever was back there a question then came back & she printed my receipt, it said wrap & no side, I didn't think nothing of it and let it go.
The girl I guess she was the 1 making the food, brought what looked like a wrap up front & tossed it slowly on the counter & said Baja chicken wrap. No one moved to get the order, so I asked the girl, I hope that's not my food because I asked for it to be in a bowl. She said the cashier lady didn't tell her that, I said I literally saw her go back there to ask a question. Then the same girl said she didn't tell me & if you want it in a bowl, it's $1.06 more. Me & my co-worker looked at each other, I asked why, she gave me some lame excuse & I paid it.
She comes back out with my bowl, but it has beans in it, at this point me & this girl are going back & forth about the food. I asked for my money back & she said she can't and tells me she can't make another bowl cause it comes out her check blah blah blah. That's the dumbest thing I ever heard. I ask to speak to the manager, long & behold she's the manager. She said she'll call the owner to ask about refund & comes back & said the owner said no refund. Doubt she even called. I go to many different Tropical Smoothie Cafés and this is the only one I had an issue with. You need better employees & policies.
I went to grab two smoothies the other day 5/16/24 and they turned out great. Shatu was the associate that took my order and made sure that my order was prepared the way I wanted. Shatu was kind and is always very professional every time that I am there.
On 3/11 at 11 am I ordered a Banana Crunch Flat Bread. The cashier proceeded with the transaction of which was paid in cash. She had on plastic gloves while taking my money and giving me change in return. She continued to prepare food as there were no more customers behind me. I pulled her to the side and asked her why did she not change her gloves after touching both the registrar and money. She looked at me and said ok. She walked over and conversed with her fellow co-workers and they kinda gave me the side eye like I asked her to something that was out of the ordinary. I strongly recommend they change their food handling policy.....
I have never had trouble with this location until today. I ordered a chicken ceasar on the website. I selected for extra dressing because the salad is sizable. When I get there the young lady said my order does not include extra dressing and if I wanted extra I would need to pay. I say okay, I walk outside get my debit card and the phone to show her I ordered extra. She still proceed to charge me $0.27. Why when I get home, I have different dressings??? Make it make sense lord. Read the room. I had to go outside to get a debit card to pay for extra dressing which I already paid for. ???? only to get different dressings. Is the employee making the dressing herself in the back or does it come out of her paycheck. I really will have to meditate before returning for THIS foolishness. I should've just made my own salad.
I never leave reviews but this time I just had to. The lady at the register was so rude. You can truly tell when a person is unhappy with their job. Not to mention I was waiting so long for my food because nobody told me it was ready and instead just left it sitting on the counter. I asked for a side of sauce and got a death stare before getting a response. Save your time people!! Don’t come here.
