We had a great meal at Trip's Diner. The waitress was super nice (believe her name was Ashley) and stated they were known for their grits, specifically the shrimp and grits.
I've never had grits, so I ordered a side of their loaded grits to try them. I had Chicken and Waffles and my sister had a Cuban. Everything was quick, hot, and very good. All meals and two sweet teas totaled $35, which I thought was a good value for the amount of food.

Incredible experience. Service was great from the moment we entered. They have all of your typical diner food plus lots of unique options like the fried green tomato benedict. Insanely good. I got tomatoes as a side and they were big and fresh and delicious. Eggs cooked perfectly. Large portions at a great price, for kids meals too. No complaints from our table of 5. Highly recommend.
This place is known for their "Hubcakes" which are pancakes made to be the size of a hubcap. My first one was pretty dry and tough, but the second one was better. I got them with banana on top and filled with candied pecans and cinnamon chips. They don't give you much banana and the fillings weren't evenly distributed at all. They were all concentrated at the center of the second pancake and the edges and entire first pancake were almost barren. However, the bites that did have lots of filling were very good.
The chicken biscuit had fresh and fluffy biscuits with a perfect crispiness on the chicken, which was also very juicy. No complaints on the sausage gravy either.
Service was solid.
We were looking for something local for brunch and this diner satisfied our average need. When we arrived, the diner was bustling so they seated us immediately at the bar. I enjoyed the ambience and the theme of the restaurant but the food was average. The bacon and the toast were cooked well. The service was speedy but I would have preferred a meal that truly sets Trip’s Diner apart from other restaurants.
Trip's Diner provides a delightful atmosphere and friendly service that truly enhance the dining experience. The corned beef hash, while satisfying, didn't quite meet the high expectations I had. Nonetheless, the overall visit was enjoyable, and I would still recommend giving it a try for its charming ambiance and welcoming staff.
It has been a long time since we ate here nice place to go with someone special. Great Food really enjoyed what we got Reds shrimp and Grits , and biscuits and gravy platters. Our waitress Josie is very, very nice and sweet "on top of things". We will definitely be back the good Lord willing !!

Great food. Good service. Steady crowd while we were there. Will come back when we are in town again.
Came here while on a quick trip in Tampa , walking distance from our Airbnb and what lovely diner. Fast and friendly service. A lot of food with great prices, my husband and I couldn’t even finish our plates. Would definitely be back
