I brought my partner in to the urgent care after she caught some sort of virus from her workplace. She waited for 2 hours to be seen, which normally wouldn't be a big deal. However, when she was finally seen, the doctor looked in her nose, throat, and ears, then said "well you don't have covid or the flu, but you are sick" then prescribed antibiotics. Keep in mind this is the very next day after her symptoms started appearing and there is no possible way these guys knew if it was bacterial or viral. Its incredibly irresponsible to be handing out antibiotic prescriptions in this way... I'm not even a doctor and I knew immediately this was bad and that we wouldn't fill the prescription. Good thing we didn't because what she ended up having was indeed a virus, and all that the antibiotics would've done would be to kill beneficial bacteria in her gut and hurt her even more. Be VERY SUSPICIOUS of any antibiotic prescription you may get from this place, and do your due diligence and research before you fill any scripts you get from here.
In the last 3 weeks have visited this urgent care 3 times. Prescription after prescription and still not feeling well. Realizing urgent cares are busy, but they don't take the time to listen and to check thoroughly. Nurses are very nice; however. My 3rd time in I told the PA my right ear felt really clogged and was hoping to get my ear cleaned as I was almost positive it was impacted wax. she disagreed. Said there was a bit of wax but they didn't think it was causing my problem. I did, thankfully, get a referral to an ENT center and I on my own ended up taking OTC allergy med and started noticing an improvement. Not once did they address allergies. Went in to see an ENT and sure enough right ear had lots of impacted wax and thankfully got it cleaned out. Starting to feel much better. Needless to say I don't think I'll be visiting this urgent care facility any longer.
This review is not for the medical staff but for their billing services. I went into the clinic to get a tetanus shot which for private pay is $100. I gave them my insurance information and six months later I got bill for $535 because there was a gap in my insurance coverage. No communication and no logic to the whole process.
This place has gone down hill to say the least.. I went In with symptoms of possible strep throat, waited for well over 2hrs. Doc looked in ears,throat, neg strep test(good thing i asked)and said oh it looks like a ear infection and prescribed antibiotics was done in less than 3mins. Well, I became very ill high fever, body aches, cough ect. Now 1 day later the Er and tested positive for the flu,no problem with my ears at all. was told to discontinue use of antibiotics that I didn't even need! Waste of time and money!
The front desk staff was friendly, and the nurse as well. the Doc was a joke
My wife had a short visit, and we have been sorry ever since. They haven't billed our insurance, and have been trying to get us to pay the inflated "uninsured" cost. Phone calls among us, their billing & our insurance supposedly end with them agreeing to properly bill our insurance, but now we got a "final notice."
The receptionist has always been very kind and Dr. Grant has been amazing on my visits there. He took his time and honestly listened and took into consideration what I had to say. And insisted I come back within a few days if I wasn't 100% better by then ????
They stopped taking VA insurance. Great service, always been kind and very helpful for me. But be advised if you're a vet: they no longer accept VA insurance.
Communication is absent.
Don't count on the office staff or doctors to communicate. You will need to stay on top of the care you are seeking. Be prepared for attitude, exhaustion, and unprofessional attributes. It might be beneficial to seek alternative medical care.
