This was such a great find. We don't usually go this way but I did hear about this place in a local food group and had to try it.
The chicken mole I had was outstanding. Tender chicken pieces cooked in thick mole sauce, oh my!
We will definitely be back. They also serve breakfast on the weekends which I plan to try soon.
Started with three of the salsas. One was similar to others and the other two were much hotter with very good flavor. Tried the guacamole. It was much chunkier than I am used to having, but it was very good. May even like it better. It was rich and flavorful. Asked the waiter for the most authentic items and he pointed us to a section of the menu.....tried the street tacos and the tamal. Both were fantastic.
Also had the special dinner which was a sampler and it was a feast by itself.
Then had the churro and sopilla. 10!
Service was excellent.
Highly recommend a visit. We are coming back for sure.
Excellent authentic Mexican food just outside of Evansville. The tortillas are fresh and handmade in house. You will not find better around! The tacos are always on point. The only 1 drawback for me is you have to order the same meat on at least 3 of the tacos. I've not been anywhere that I could not select different meat for each taco. I am sure this is to keep cost down. It's not a deal breaker, I just like variety! Prices are fair. Some of the best Mexican soup too!
I love the food, it tastes amazing and has great pricing
HEY! Come try this place! This is one of-- if not THE best Mexican restaurant in the Tristate. This is legit home cooking made by a very nice family. The building doesn't look like much on the outside, but once you walk inside you'll see it's a very nice, clean, and comfortable restaurant. The food is FANTASTIC. It's authentic and healthier tasting than the average Mexican spot, but even better tasting. It's worth the drive.
They got a one star only because there wasn't a lower option.
We had been wanting to try this place as it is local and we always try to support local. I called in our order using the menu provided on this site. When I went to pick up the order the total was WAY different than it should have been. We ordered the double order of Fajita Jalisco at 22.99. I was charged 17.99 twice! I pointed this out and even pulled up their menu only to be told it wasn't their site..it was Google's.
A quick meal after a basketball tournament for family ended up costing $30 more than intended because they didn't do the right thing as a business.
Very disappointed in the utter lack of customer service. Growing up in a family that owned and operated restaurants I can assure you that my parents would have never let a customer walk away feeling nothing less than cheated.
This is the best Tex/Mex food I've eaten in the last two decades without exception. Portions are what I consider to be generous and beverages are reasonable. My dessert was "every bit as good as the main course. Sweet tea tasted freshly made. I was not disappointed with ANY part of my meal. Thanks for my favorite evening meal!!
Good food and $5 bud light buckets. Beans are the best I've had by far! Tacos are unique and delicious. Try the house made verde sauce! I'd love to see this family business iron out some kinks in the service department and stick around.
