Best KPortal Reviews
Pretty Average, Nothing Special about this place.
Food was served hot and quick, like every other Family Mexican Restaurant I've been to.
Good Tasty Meal, but not outstanding by any means.
Fajita Skillet was TOO HOT, which started to burn the food.
Be prepared for the CREDIT CARD SURCHARGE APPLIED TO EVERY CHECK!!!
For that reason, I will not return, even though the SURCHARGE was removed when I paid in cash.
I travel through Post Falls 2-4 times a month, and this Restaurant won't see another dollar of mine.
I hope this review is seen by the owner/manager.
I was hungry so I decided to give it a shot... what a mistake. When you walk in it smells like sewage, there's something seriously wrong with the cleanliness of that place. I knew it should of been a sign and walked out. I ordered chicken flautas as a basic test for the restaurant and they were soggy not completely fried and everything was small for a $19 dish.
Do not go here, other reviews are right. This place sucks
Good food. Good prices. Excellent server, Jennifer. Knowledgeable about the menu and bright smile and attitude. Give that girl a raise!
I had the chimi and chilie relleno and I was satisfied.
If you are a trucker, eat here and skip the typical truck stop garbage food.
Fresh and authentic Mexican food. I initially thought the place was packed as the parking lot was full. When I entered I was greeted by two kind ladies that kindly sat me at my table. The salsa was thick and very fresh. The vegetables were crunchy. The tortilla chips were also very fresh. The servers were great and the overall experience was well worth the 5 star rating. I highly recommend.
Food was delicious. Service was nice courteous and on top of things. I had the smothered burrito and it was tasty. Had great flavor the Verde sauce was nice and flavorful. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.
Absolutely disgusting. Ordered the tres compadres plate. Beans were rancid and rice tasted old. My chile relleno had no cheese inside just sometimes some sprinkled on top. I'm not one to complain much if the service isn't good I don't tip. So I didn't. Total was 18.79 and put 18.79 on my receipt. Well 2 days later my bank showed a total of 23.79 so a 5 dollar tip was added with out my permission. I called and owner was rude and said it happens come get your 5 bucks well it would have costed me 5 bucks just to drive to the restaurant. Very disappointing I told the owner to keep the 5 bucks and I will never return save your money for better food. It's not worth it.
(Did not visit recently, but updated my review from 4 years ago, when they were actually decent, to what my last experiences were) Used to eat there at least once a week for COVID. Food was pretty good, service was hit or miss from the rudest older woman to the sweetest younger dark haired gal. We were still anxious for them to reopen (it was almost a year with apparently some building issues, restrooms, whatever) Was hoping they fixed the nasty bathrooms and the gross smell but there must be some deeply rooted gateway to the underworld because even the remodel didn't fix that. Gross
We went a couple of times after they reopened. NOT thesame service as before. Blame covid, or the ongoing staffing issues (probablt because of how it is run now) Queso fundido is a rubbery clump of melted cheese, not dip, asked the owner about it and was talked to like i was an idiot because i didn't know better. The last time we were sat by a blonde haired waitress at a table with fries and chicken nuggets on the floor... we had to navigate through someone else's mess it was OBVIOUS, not one nugget and one fry... no, almost a whole kids plate. There were only 4 other occupied tables in the place, we could have been seated elsewhere.
The owner was sitting at the end of a table with patrons, just 2 tables away. He and the waitress were waaaay to unprofessional, playful, sarcastic with each other... very awkward. The mess was never cleaned up, our service was not great, and the owner was too busy with what seemed like his friends. Sad to go from being a recognized patron made to feel valued to being served like we shouldn't be bothering them. We haven't been back since, especially since there are other options that are better in all areas.
Been going there for ages, dine in.
Tonight, well, today was a PJ day so we decided to order by phone, to go.
Food amazing, piping hot! Totally delightful.
Love Toro Viejo, And no dishes to wash!!!!!
