My family and I were devastated when we were told The Bear House in Top Town was closing.
I was happy to hear they later consolidated with another location in Sky Forrest.
Today, while out and about with my Bestie, I was told another business opened in the location of the former Top Town, Bear House.
WELL, imagine my delight and surprise when we opened the door and spied a super familiar and friendly face. Brianna (Bri),
Needless to say it felt like a homecoming. Super efficient, professional, and friendly service. Bri, took our orders and made sure all of our food allergy requests were honored. Billy and David did their part to make sure we had a warm and friendly visit.

Have eaten here since they changed the name from The Bear House to Top Town Cafe. The menu is the same. I love their Tuna Melt & Breakfast Scramble. Taco ???? Tuesday is amazing! Love the generous sized tacos.
The mountain mural that covers one wall is so beautiful & adds to the ambiance.
This was my first time going here after the ownership. The other 3 times, it was good. This time (3/15/34), the server was very uncomfortable, possibly nurodivergant? Clearly not socially confident. Walking away whilst still talking to him. Secondly, our soup was literally cold. Like it came out of the fridge. Third, the ribs were gross. Fourth, small but worth mentioning, our Ruben sandwich came with no mustard. When I asked for some, the server said "l"yeah" while shrugging his shoulders. Like it was a bizarre question. Fifth the restroom is freezing.
I liked it when it was the Bear family restaurant because the bears were adorable and the art work was AMAZING ????. I really miss that, but all things considered, The food is really good and the staff is nice and I continue to go over and over. I do recommend it if you are in the area.
This place is awful now. Stay away 25 dollars for burn meatloaf unflavored potatoes and canned corned. Literally the worst
I love it here! The food is great!!!! I live down the street from there and it is great. The service it awesome
Food I have had has been awesome. Have had the meatloaf, mixed veggies, mashed potatoes, chicken fried steak, eggs Benedict, scrambled eggs with all the fixins. All were delicious. Portions are generous you will not walk away hungry for sure. The coffee is good too. Here is something i found amazing is that they make the Holandais sauce per order and from scratch, not something you see now a days (easier to use a mix). The prices are very reasonable
The staff is very personable, it is a mountain cafe basically a down to earth people. Actually had a waitress Crystal called me darlin I felt like I was home. Besides the food she is the reason I came back and will continue to do so. All the staff are friendly and attentive. They have an extensive menu, breakfast, lunch and dinner. From Mexican fare to all the comfort food you can handle.
Do yourself a favor you have to check this place out if you find yourself in Crestline. I cant wait to go back.
