THIS MAN IS A FRAUD!!! WORKS WITH BAD NEEDLES WHILE DRINKING!!! Tattoo got infection due bad needles and bad ink! Beautiful tattoo that this man ruined and promised to correct!! I PAID OVER $1000 TATTOO for this and it’s completely off-center with pieces missing, then he screwed up the very top part, and made a huge ugly black sideways Diamond to try and cover it up… Not even finished! He then blocked me and that’s it… Never gives you his real name… Always goes by “STYLES or “TAT”. Once he’s done getting you drunk, he makes sure you tip him extra through your phone. DOESNT EVEN HAVE A CAR!!! Had to wait for him to get an Uber just to make sure he got home safely… got ME drunk, then paid himself using my my apple pay!!! Disgraceful!!! I’ve reported him and filed a civil complaint.
Not to mention the owner is obviously ignorant, and can’t even spell. I’ve added recent photos after seeing a doctor and being treated for a staff infection! The patterns are off, and this man completely made my tattoo sideways as you can clearly see in the photos.
and I have eight other tattoos done by other professionals! None of them have ever gotten infected like this.
I only came to this shop as an impulsive decision to get a tattoo I had been wanting, and I should’ve done more research. This is not where u want to go to get a professionally done tattoo. He didn’t ID me or my friend (who also got one), no waivers, just a small square room inside a building.
The stencil smudged (a lot) and he just free-handed, which made the shading and lines on my tat uneven. He also didn’t give me the chance to look at my stencil and decide if I liked the placement and size. I will say, from far away the butterfly I got looks fine, but when looking at it up close there are just so many mistakes.
Yesterday I went to a professional place to get it touched up, and even that artist was telling me that whatever needle that was used made a lot of the ink bleed together and other parts were already faded away after less than a year.
I’d also like to add that he wasn’t very considerate of pain. When he would look away at the picture reference for my tat he would keep the needle going on my arm, which not only hurt but also made me anxious that he’d accidentally make a mark. Additionally, my friend does not handle pain well and would sometimes need a second before he kept going, or she would’ve appreciated him doing a couple lines at a time, but instead he would fuss at her in a way and shake his head like he was frustrated or disappointed, which did not help her feel more comfortable.
I’ve waited months before writing my review because I was afraid to admit my mistake of getting an impulsive, last-minute tattoo and not speaking up for myself during the appointment, but hopefully this will help others, please do your research and find a good place to book with!
Stylez is my go to and only tattoo artist in Raleigh. Not only is he talented and tuned into what his client wants, he is also warm and welcoming. We gonna go for more I’m sure! 10/10

I’ve been going to him since I moved here. He’s done majority of my tattoos. Do I have to wait sometimes, yes but it’s never long and totally worth it and the outcome is ALWAYS what I want. I never have to question if he’s clean. He installs a new needle in front of me everytime!! I allow him to stop and do piercing or whatever. Super chill environment and great music and conversation. Reasonable prices and great deals!!
Customer service and work was the best. I drove all the way from Baltimore Maryland to get a memorial piece done to remember my brother. I will be back next month for more. I also got some cover ups and got my oldest daughters their 1st Tattoo. We loved the work. Styles is in my top 2 tattoo artist now. Clean shop, new materials and patient.
Wonderful customer service, was able to make my son's birthday wish come thru. I can't wait for my next tattoo. My kids and I felt at home and would definitely recommend this shop.
