It's a takeout only hole in the wall that makes what are likely the best steaks in a 30 mile radius. I'm told that you can bring them into a local Tavern called the Broken Chair. It doesn't compare to the best S. Philadelphia options, but if you're in West Reading, do not hesitate!

Yo Gotham, let me tell you about my latest culinary adventure in West Reading, PA. The Bat-Signal led me straight to Tony's, a joint known for its cheesesteaks and Italian eats!

Let's talk chow: I went classic with a 10-inch cheesesteak (for scale in the pic, I am 7” tall). Juicy meat, melty cheese, all wrapped up in Hey delicious roll - your choice of playing or sesame seed. But here's a fun twist – I chowed down at one of their outside tables decorated with images of the Beatles! Even snapped a pic with Paul McCartney himself (painted on the table, of course).

Even better, I met the big man himself, Tony, and snapped a pic – talk about celebrity status! What a great guy.

Pro tip: Don't be afraid of the half-pound fries. This ain't no measly side dish - pretty sizeable. In the pic, I already ate about a quarter of the portion.

The service? Faster than a Batmobile speeding around Gotham. Special shoutout to Amethyst at the register! Ordering in person was supposed to be a longer wait (says the sign), but my food materialized with the speed of the Flash! ⚡️

The locally produced Reading Draft soda hits the spot. I even finished things off strong with a cannoli for dessert. Sweet, creamy, and the perfect way to celebrate a successful food recon mission. If visiting in the winter, be sure to bring a cape to keep you warm because this is a traditional cheese steak style joint with outside seating only.

Overall, Tony's gets the BatmanJawn stamp of approval! It's got all the fixings of a classic cheesesteak spot, with a friendly atmosphere and a hint of rock n' roll that even the Dark Knight can appreciate. If you find yourself in West Reading, swing by - Tell them Batman Jawn sent you. ????

Very friendly service, Food was ready in minimal time. The Passyunk Prime was quite honestly the best cheesesteak I've ever had. I probably will not go anywhere else now. Absolutely fantastic!

I got the passyunk prime cheesesteak and the 1/2 lb jersey fries. I’ve had various cheesesteaks throughout the years and this is definitely one of my top ones. I recommend everybody to try the this sandwich at least once before you write it off. Definitely order online ahead of time so you don’t have to wait too long. I will be coming back!!

Got a cheese steak and a Buffalo chicken .. Taste was amazing. Staff was friendly and cool. Only bad thing was finding somewhere to park.

Easily the best sandwich I've had in a very long time! Including all of them, not just cheesteaks! I got there a bit late and the person taking orders was kind enough to squeeze mine in despite it being late; thanks for that! Got an original just with onions and it was perfect; fresh, nicely seasoned, perfectly cooked and very tender. If you're in Reading and you don't get this, you're missing out!

My buddies highly recommend Tony's and I was excited to try but the steak didn't live up to the hype. $15 for a steak is more expensive than the city for half the flavor. I liked that they gave a good amount of steak and the roll was decent but the steak lacked flavor overall and seasoning.

Best cheese steak I WILL ever have in my life. I drove 1 hour and I guarantee it was better than every cheese steak place I passed on the way. All the ingredients were perfect. Get the seeded roll. The only thing I didn't know is that they don't have a dining room and all orders are made outside at a window.
