This shop has changed. Tonight's portion of fish made from odd strips of a suspected Thai fish that often gets passed off as cod fillet. See added pics.
Cod was brilliant 10/10 just 1 size no small or large. Chips weren’t as good bit to soft but were fresh and tasted ok.
Overall highly recommend this place, they have plenty of staff on hand so doesn’t take long to be served, will definitely return.
I've been going here for 18 yrs and have never been disappointed until tonight the fish which was meant to be cod most definitely wasn't cod and I don't think it was fresh but frozen its bring sold as cod but it wasn't white enough and extremely dry very disappointed.
Solid food, chips were well cooked. Faggot, gravy and chips was slightly more than other places but not unreasonable. One of the better chippies I've been to.
Went to buy chips at Tony's today. Asked for small chips @ £3.20 most expensive I ever had to pay, it came over flow, floppy disgusting limpy soggy chips I' ve ever been serve. Looks refried and not fresh. Disappointing
This is the stop we like when we're heading over to our daughter, it's usually busy but the service is good and you won't be hanging around for long.
A good menu to satisfy most, plenty of chips come with the order so you have to loosen the belt by the time you finish.
A friendly place to come but not on a Monday as there shut ☹️. Plus you can pay with your contactless card.
Much better than your average rural chippie. Good food well cooked and served by friendly staff at a reasonable price. A varied modern menu freshly cooked. Consistent quality keeps their clientele.
Very friendly staff. I had chips, roe and curry sauce, the meal itself was very nice, did have some chips that had black spots on them towards the bottom that should of been discarded like most chippies do but overall the chips were nice. The roe itself was quite nice and the curry sauce was alright.
