TLC Moving

Strongly recommend TLC Moving! Very friendly, professional, and helpful! Helped us move our piano, but unfortunately broke off a piece of its coating. It takes $500+ to get someone over to fix it. We made an agreement, and they agreed to give us a discount. I suppose they set off about 5 minutes before the time arranged (for us it was 9 am) so they came around 9:05-10. 2guys came over with a truck. They didn’t wear masks, so we provided them one. Super efficient and got the work done fast! If your in Columbia, they’re a great local business!

AMAZING movers! We had a situation where my mom got a flat tire on the way with the UHaul, the movers got there on time but were so understanding and came back later when she arrived and got my 1 bedroom apartment moved out in about 45 minutes. They were so kind and professional. Highly recommend!

Awesome experience with TLC Moving. The gentlemen who helped my girlfriend move her apartment were awesome. They were so diligent using blankets and making sure the furniture was protected. I couldn't believe how hard they worked. I don't think they took a break the whole time. They prorated the last hour (unlike the other moving company who quoted the job) and even helped her parents load a couple things onto their tailer. I definitely recommend to anyone considering!

I'm updating my review as I have recently used the services of this company again, December 2019 and twice again in early 2020. Once again, stellar performance and no damage. Yes, they're fast. My beautiful dining room table and hutch with glass pieces was packed and wrapped with absolutely NO damage. They did a stellar job again. When reading the other reviews, I can't even imagine it's the same company.

TLC in Columbia, MO has been in charge of moving our entire office twice (over 5000 square feet) and numerous times moving new desks and furnishing into our offices. They've also done work for me personally, moving an entire home when we had a two-hour limitation. The amount of work they get done in a short time is quite simply astounding. I read another review where it appears TLC had overbooked and was a no-show. While I've never experienced that, they always accommodate my scheduling needs, so I can see how in their goal to please the customer, they may get overbooked. Their guys hustle to get the work done, then bill by the hour. I've had other companies bill by the hour and get half as much done in twice the time. In all these moves, we've never had an incident of breakage or charging more than what was anticipated. They are one of the few service-based companies I've worked with that actually understand the word "service". They are professional and courteous. They work hard and it's a great value for your dollar. I highly recommend them.

Four months ago I needed to move from one home to another home 30 minutes away from each other. I moved a lot of items ourself and had everything boxed up to move. I had plastic tubes in a basement that I needed help with bringing upstairs. I set up a time for TLC Company to be there at 9:00 am. They called me a half hour after they were supposed to be there and said they were running late. Three people finally arrived at 10:30 am. Their appearance was not what you would think a professional moving company would be. The help was sketching to say the least! My family was trying to help get things up out of the basement and they did not want our help because we were working to fast for them since I was paying them by the hour. Before they came I gave the woman at the office how much stuff I had. They sent the biggest truck but made one trip and would have needed to make another but I said no. When I got back to my old home they had left heavy furniture that I ended up moving myself. I was told they would wrap my furniture but they did not. One price of furniture was wrapped. I had antiques that were scrapped deeply and nicks of wood chipped off on a lot of my furniture. They had no idea how to load or unload the truck. Most of my plastic tubes fell over in the truck and when they were unloading the truck they had the ramp with the dolly and had tubes stacked three tall. They fell off and broke a lot of stuff. Most items have scratches or dents. When I got to my new house they drove by the house to waste time. I will never use this company ever. I would not recommend this company to anyone else. Anyone I know I would not recommend TLC Moving Company. Horrible moving experience. Never again.

I had them move my moms piano. They showed up incredibly fast, extremely professional and did a fantastic job. I could not be more pleased with their service. It was so nice seeing a father/team working together. If you need anything moved, TLC moving is the only place I’d call.

We hired TLC Moving to load a 26 ft U-Haul for our move. They arrived promptly and began loading the truck. The two young gentlemen loading the truck were always polite and well-mannered. From the first tier on the truck, they strategically planned how to pack all of our household belongings. There was not a square inch that they did not utilize. They were careful with everything and made sure to secure or put a blanket on items that could be damaged. I have never seen a moving truck that was packed so well. Thank you, TLC Moving! We would happily recommend your company to anyone!!

Could not have been more satisfied with TLC movers. Lin and Tony were absolutely phenomenal and professional. We asked for a 3 man crew because we knew it was a lot of work, a 2 man crew showed up and I felt bad for them... but Lin and Tony did the work of 4 men easy. They hardly even stopped and went above and beyond to help us fix some things that got jossled in the move.

I have moved 30+ times in my life, literally, no exaggeration, and these guys are easily in the top 3 best moving experiences ever. Don't call anybody else in Columbia.
