Best KPortal Reviews
First time eating there for lunch today. It’s in a gas station, so you know it’s good, right? Not so much. The guys behind the counter were nice enough, and the pulled pork was decent on the BBQ sandwich and Memphis BBQ sandwich we ordered. The Brunswick stew was just watery pulled pork with some sauce & frozen vegetables thrown in. We stopped after a couple of bites.
The name & reviews sounded fun, but it’s a nope going forward.
Friendly and outgoing staff, good barbecue for sure. It's in a gas station so don't expect atmosphere, but do expect good food. Pass on the Mac and cheese it's bland, the Brunswick stew was good. I had the 2 meat combination with brisket and pulled pork. The pork was good but the brisket was better. The hot bbq sauce was good, and the sweet and hot was good but i think I'll try another of there sauces later. Since it's convenient to get to a welcome addition to my BBQ rotation.
Fair warning, this place seems super sketchy but is totally legit! It’s basically the left half of an Exxon gas station. We got there after dark so circled it twice before we found it! Go indie though because the staff are helpful and friendly and the BBQ is great! I’ll probably be in trouble with my Texas friends for saying that this is some of the best BBQ sauce I’ve ever had! I got the Memphis Pulled Pork Sandwich with the hot BBQ sauce which is a generous amount of food for only $8! Most people Order to-go because there are only like 4 tables and a few TVs but we were tired so just chilled for a while and watched Family Feud! If you’re anywhere close definitely check it out!
This place has been a staple for local BBQ for years, I've catered it for my birthday and it's always a hit. Highly recommend their Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich, top 3 I've ever had.
This was some of the best barbecue I've ever had. The ribs were so tender and flavorful. The brisket had a beautiful smoke ring and was delicious. We tried every side they offered and they were all great. The cobblers were very tasty. The staff was very friendly and genuine. 100% recommend coming here as soon as you can.
I love BBQ and this was close to the house. It is in a gas station but don't let that fool you. The ribs and the brisket were tender and moist. The beans and potato salad were flavorful. The food was excellent. Definitely will return, I love good Q! And it has been rated Best in Gwinnett for several years!
Looking for a fast bite without the typical “burger” style, my daughter and I decided to try this family owned BBQ joint within a local gas station. They have their own smoke hut outside too, and a counter inside. The whole place is bright, clean, friendly and inviting. The people are super friendly, and the menu is full of traditional southern BBQ choices and a few neat twists. The pulled pork is solid, good smoke flavor, low fat content, well cooked. The home made lemonade is an unexpected treat! There’s 5 choices of sauce and all of them are solid efforts and the sweet one called “regular” is my favorite. There’s a vinegary CAROLINA sauce, 2 levels of spicy sauce, and a mustard based GOLD sauce. Pricing is a bit high for such a neighborhood joint, but their excellent service and delicious food is worth it.
On a date with my husband, we needed a place for lunch. We’d finished at the zoo, and Tipsy Pig had high reviews - even with being inside a gas station. We gave it a shot, and we WILL be returning! The staff is super warm and friendly, and they openly express their gratitude for your patronage, but with a feeling like family.
Their fryer was down, and they were out of banana pudding and peach cobbler, but as popular as other reviews make them out to be, it didn’t really surprise us, and there was a large enough menu with options that we could choose from.
Pork sandwich for me, brisket for my husband, a few sides, blackberry cobbler and sweet tea - mmm-mmm!
But it’s in a gas station! Okay, so?
Make the stop at the Exxon on Five Forks and Oak to have some Tipsy Pig BBQ. You won’t regret it!
