Best KPortal Reviews
This is the worst experience I’ve ever had!! The girl at the register made me repeat the order multiple times because she lacked the ability to actively listen and still got the order wrong to where we were overcharged. The food isn’t great. Very bland although I will say the taco shells were nice light airy and crispy. We are disabled which you can tell by looking at us and my boyfriend asked one of the girls working who passed us nicely asked her if she could get us a Togo box and she rudely told him that if wants a box he has to go to the counter and ask for one. I guarantee that we will never eat here again too many better places with much better service. Not worth the price. Not even close!!
The price of food does NOT match the quality at all. 18.99 for a burrito that's not very sizeable with tough unseasoned meat they couldn't bother to cut up into reasonably sized pieces.
Do yourself a favor and support a street vendor, the food and pricing is much better. I understand the economy is bad but not bad enough to justify this place.
Tio's Mecican Grill in Fontana. CA. The food is delivered on exceptional large platters. Served hot with visibly fresh ingredients. If you love cheese, then this is your place. At the end of the restaurant there is a nice bar with TVs a small dance area. Price point above average $$ and half.
My college friends and I meet one time a year to sit, talk, and reminisce. Tio's is convenient for us all since we live in different areas. The food is great, and the service is impeccable. I am looking forward to my yearly jaunt with friends next year at Tio's.
Well, brand new place. This is not Tio's anymore...now it's MoVal BBQ. First review. Friendly owner that has the right intentions. This is the place to go too if you are looking for inexpensive BBQ. Now please don't get me wrong, sauces and all are a taste thing so opinions might differ but i really liked the BBQ sauce he puts on his meats. Thin, not super thick and not overpowering. Flavor is also pretty good.
The meat is a hit and miss. I really liked the chicken and pork ribs. Really good stuff.
Beef ribs were also not Bad but i had better.
Brisket was not good at all. It was hard to pull it apart with just my hands. Very tough. Nice smoke ring but just Soo tough. Flavor was pretty neutral. But i will give it another try some day. It's so difficult right now during this covid pandemic to find good and consistent suppliers.
Sausage links were ok as well.
We also tried all the sides and they were ok. Unfortunately none of the salads, beans and other sides are just store bought and not made in the restaurant. For example, the macaroni salad is the generic one you can purchase at walmart or smart & final.
Bottom line is: if you are looking for a great place to have inexpensive BBQ this is the one to go too. BBQ is not the best but for it's location and all it's pretty good.
It's also a new place and probably needs a bit more time to get dialed in. It is really hard to leave an all around review for a BBQ restaurant because opinions and taste butts are so different.
I recommend going there. It's not a pretty looking place but the owner is super cool and tries hard. He definatly has BBQ experience and for the price he charges i have no complaints.
Well...Everyone is human so I don't get upset when they make mistakes. We ordered to go and they brought it to us on regular plates. Then they forgot my wife's wet sauce that she ordered on the side. The woman never asked us "For here or to go" She assumed we were eating inside. The carne asada was surprisingly decent for a change; Nowhere near the quality of The Hot Spot which is bomb. This used to be our spot, but now it's become a 3rd tier spot for us.
Really cool spot. They have a live band on Friday, that's when I went. Drinks are good. And the food is good as well. Ambiance is relaxed, there is families that go. Nice selection of food and drinks. Good customer service, but when it gets busy, the servers tend to lose themselves. But overall. A good spot to grab a drink and either watch sports or listen to the band.
The food at this place is beyond good, it was delicious. We ordered the carne asada and the chile verde plates, both of which were way better than expected. The wait to get my food after I ordered it was not long at all, it took about 10 minutes. They also gave me some chips and salsa at my table while I waited for my food to come out. The salsa was so good too, I had to go serve myself some more at their salsa bar. If you like good real mexican food, try this place out.
