A must try! The scallop risotto is absolutely amazing! The salmon was delicious. Drinks are special. The punch bowl is the way to go. Soooooo good! Our waitress, Kayla, was attentive and knowledgeable. She made excellent suggestions. She made our experience that much better. The manager, Melissa, took the time to come chat with us and make sure all was well. The pastry chef knows what she's doing. Best carrot cake I've ever had. Super friendly staff, great ambiance. We might be back every weekend.
This review comes from a previous restaurant owner and I am not easily impressed. I would give them 10 stars. Everything was on point great cocktails and excellent food! Worth every cent we needed a high quality sea food restaurant. Delicious! You will want to get there and see for yourself!
Was very excited to try this new spot in the area for seafood. The place was packed and energetic for dinner. The ambiance and decor gave off an oceanic vibe that was quite nice. Our service was wonderful and everything we had from the menu was excellent. The sea bass was and scallop risotto was amazing! Could not have been happier celebrating a birthday dinner.
Beautiful ambiance, fun atmosphere, great service and delicious food! We started off with the shrimp cocktail, oysters and crab cakes. The shrimp were huge and delicious. The oysters were remarkably fresh and and meaty. The crab cakes were perfectly cooked, crispy and fluffy. We ordered the whole red snapper for our entree. It was large enough to be shared between and it was AMAZINGLY fresh and flavorful! Definitely visiting Tides again!
We had a fantastic evening. The food was amazing. We had the oysters and pork belly as starter, shared the snapper, and had desert + ice wine. I want to call out the presentation of every course and the cocktails. It was fantastic.
The restaurant was definitely on the pricier site, but it was worth every penny. I'm glad having this new option in Danville.
Perfect date night. Delicious crab cake & sea bass. Really enjoyed the mushrooms as well,(not pictured) Excellent smoked old fashion cocktail. Everything was cooked perfectly, and wonderful combination of flavors and textures. Finished off with Lemon Chiffon cake and our favorite ice wine. Well trained staff and excellent service. Cannot wait till next time to try other dishes.
Modern Oceanic Cuisine? Hah! I would strongly suggest these people stick to steak. Isn't it strange when your server blames the kitchen EVERY TIME when hot food comes out cold or your table waits 45 minutes for 3 of the 4 entrees? What's even better is while the 4th dish is delayed, your party gets to stare at each other and wait unless you're as rude as the Tides staff is. No way this restaurant will be open in 2025.....unless the ownership enjoys losing money. Tides definitely left a bad taste in our mouths. For seafood, look elsewhere.
We were a party of 5 and all ordered different items. We loved them all from the clam chowder to the snapper. Must try their desserts! The bread pudding was our favorite. We will be back.
