It was my first time, and man was I highly impressed with the food and service we received both were amazing, and the food piping hott!! I've never been to restaurants where my food was so hot in the best of way. Please try this place!! Highly recommend!
Food was amazing. Macaroni and cheese was nice and creamy. Dressing and corn bread muffin were great. Staff and family were very kind and welcoming. Definitely going many more times.
Heeeeeyyyyy Everyone..I’m writing this Review for Tia Soul on Holland Ave. in Saginaw, Mi because this was my first time having Tia Soul’s Food and I got the Tip Dinner with Moist and Flavorful Mac N Cheese, awesome and not super sweet Yams and Tender, Seasoned and Juicy Tips over Tips!! The Food and Portions were so worth the Price and y’all peep out the before and after Pics???????????????????????????????????????????????? ABSOLUTELY SCRUMPTIOUS???????????????????????????????????????? Mr. and Mrs. Renyolds, the Man who was on the Smokebarrel quing today and whomever else does the Cooking, the whole amazing and very kind Staff that displays awesome Customer Service and not to mention the clean, peaceful and crowded but relaxing Atmosphere when dining in???????????????? Thanks to Everybody involved in my incredible Experience and the Reasons for me returning and referencing Others to experience what I have!! Thanks..your newest Retuning Customer, Tamika B.
Just had the catfish dinner, and it was wonderful. Quite honestly, it was the best catfish I have had in years. I chose green beans & potatoes as well as greens as my side dishes, and they were both excellent. The price of the dinner may seem high, but the portions were huge. I have enough catfish left for lunch tomorrow. This was the first time that I have been to Tia's because my schedule doesn't always fit theirs, but I will definitely be making adjustments in my schedule so that I can return. Their Sunday menu is especially enticing. I am just so excited that we have a good quality soul food restaurant in town, and I hope that everyone supports them so that they will continue to flourish.
Food was GOOD! Reasonably priced, and nice sized portions. Staff was friendly and super helpful when answering our questions as this was our first visit. I enjoyed this restaurant experience, tastes like a home cooked soul food meal! We drove 30+ minutes to try this place and they DID NOT DISAPPOINT, we'll definitely be back!!
Good food! I got the 2 pc with an extra leg, Mac and cheese, rice and gravy, and cornbread.
Chicken was hot and fresh and a solid “ home -cooked “ flavor. Mac and cheese was a velveeta base with some black pepper perhaps? Noodles were not over cooked and it was very cheesy. I think I’ll pass on the rice and gravy to give something else a try. Rice was a bit over cooked for my liking and the gravy was good, but nothing stood out to in flavor … just a well seasoned gravy. The cornbread was really good. Felt like it was just out of the oven as they came by with it after a few mins of eating. It was not tough or greasy, but very light, slightly sweet, and crumbly.
I’ll be coming back for sure as I love to support these smaller places.. decor was nowhere to be found … but the overall flavors are worth coming back for.
Very kind, attentive staff. Melt in your mouth rib tips, wonderful baked Mac n cheese! Prices are reasonable for the amount of food you get. I'll be back!
Definitely won’t be going back here. After waiting 30 minutes for my food, I tried the buttermilk fried chicken dinner with yams and macaroni and cheese and cornbread. The yams had so much syrup on them, that it got all over my chicken and Mac-N-Cheese. The yams were below average at best. The chicken wings were the smallest that I’ve ever seen! They were tiny and soaked in yam syrup. The Mac-N-Cheese was very bland and over cooked. Cornbread was dry and old. I spent damn near $20 and waited 30 minutes for a disappointment. I definitely won’t be going back.
