My new favorite place to stop both for food and my 10hr. I have no words to describe how good my meal tasted. This is the patty melt and fries. I want to try the wings next trip around. Very reasonable in cost. Well worth the stop. I had my meal within 10 mins. Enjoy! Cheers!
From the get go it was really off putting to me. Signs say see host to be seated. I go to the host area, 4-5 employees made eye contact with me and no one acknowledged my presence. It took me 10 minutes (no exaggeration) to finally be seated, no, they were not very busy. Then get seated with a menu and asked immediately if I knew what I wanted, I did not, then she never came back to check on me even though I was just playing on my phone at that time. I will say, no one was mean or rude, just not very inviting. Ordered breakfast, it was pretty good, reason it recovered to 3 stars. Not sure if I will be back, as a truck driver, options are severely limited and these places are few and far between.
4 stars because the place was pretty cool. There is a lot to see if you're into motorcycles and race cars. The food, well, I guess I expected a lot more. It was just ok, I had the chicken fried chicken. It wasn't horrible, but I expected way more flavor. At least the place was cool to see.
I had the most AMAZING hot meal, prepare just the way I liked it! The service was wonderful as well! Next time I’m in town, I will make time for this place!
UPDATE 05/30/24 - so I must REALLY love this place! I’m back yet again to add to my review! Service is still great. Food is awesome! Don’t judge me that I got the same thing again. I like what I like! Keep doing a wonderful job ladies!
Stayed in my RV overnight and came in this morning for breakfast, it was so delicious! My server was wonderful and very friendly. Great atmosphere and delicious food at reasonable prices! Good strong coffee! I put this on my Facebook RV groups too!
Food was great! Customer service was also great. Had the Sirlion steak with green beans and baked beans...Worth the money ???? definitely will be back
As a driver, I have stopped at Thunder Road Grill multiple times. Almost everytime I am in Grand Island as it can be hard to find quality food OTR and as usual they never disappoint. Got my food to-go today, me and my husband both got 2 meals each (2 pulled pork macaroni bowls, 1 club sandwich and a salmon dinner). The mac was not as good as I remember, but the barbecue pork was tender & juicy. The salmon dinner was great, I love the jalapeño BBQ glaze that they used! Also, got it with seasonal veggies (green beans) and mashed potatoes with brown gravy. I don't have a review on the club (as that was my husbands meal), but it's hard to botch up a sandwich (photos included) would recommend to a friend ????????
2nd time eating here. It's really cool especially for drivers to eat, fuel, and unwind. We ordered takeout this trip. 2 Philly cheese steak hoagies with fries as our side. Online order for 12:30 pm. It was ready at 12:45 the food was hot and plastic ware and condiments were as asked. Price was just under $30 (tip included) not real bad considering all truck stop restaurants are usually same price even at fast food restaurants inside. Service was perfect from the host and we will definitely be back again
