This was our first time into Thoroughbred Chophouse and we were highly impressed. When we walked in the door the hostess was very friendly and seated us right away. Loved the decor! Our waiter, Garrett, was great! He was very friendly and super knowledgeable with the cocktails and menu and was very professional! The food was outstanding! We would definitely recommend this restaurant and hope to be back again soon!
Thoroughbreds has been a favorite of my husbands for years. He took me here last night for my birthday dinner and it did not disappoint!! Food was exceptional. Drinks were perfect. And our server Matt did a great job taking care of us. And his table-side Caesar salad was the best I’ve ever had!!! The bartender, Chase, was top notch!! We believe he is seeking a management position ????.
This is an all-around nice place to have dinner. It has a nice location in north Myrtle Beach and the decor is very pleasant. The service here was top notch. The food, overall, was excellent. They have one of the best Cesar salads and crab cakes that I have eaten. They also have a very good wine selection. I would certainly eat here again for a special occasion.
This restaurant is excellent! We ordered several different appetizers and they were all delicious, especially the bacon wrapped scallops and steak bites. My seared pork chop dinner was so good and I highly recommend trying the key lime martini too. The service was outstanding, Garrett and Hunt helped make our dining experience one to remember.
We had 2022 New Years Eve Dinner at Thoroughbreds Chophouse.
After reading several online reviews of Myrtle Beach Steakhouse we made a 5pm reservation for a party of 4.
This was our first time dining at this steakhouse.
First, let me say the restaurant was decorated beautifully for the Holidays,
It made you feel special and festive. Just Perfect to bring in the New Year.
We ordered the special holiday cocktail and some house red wine. They were both good. Our food was good also we ordered a variety of steaks, lobster, and short ribs. My Prime Rib was a little over, so I suggest ordering up.
Word of warning, the Entrée are pricey but the ambiance is worth it.
Our server Garrett was very nice, polite, and knowledgeable.
Also, the Manager and All of the staff were Very Friendly and Engaging.
We enjoyed our evening and will be dining at this restaurant again.

The two of us had our after wedding dinner here. It was quiet and intimate. Food was wonderful, but portions were smaller than what we are used to for the price we paid. Excellent service and atmosphere!
Our first visit, and it was a wonderful experience from the time of making the reservation to walking out. Very pleasant staff, great food and drink. Matt was our server, and he was very friendly and engaging. We were celebrating a birthday, and he and Thoroughbreds made the night extra special.
Went for a wedding. I had salmon, and it was good. As I was eating my salad, I felt something hard in my mouth. I pulled it out and it was a piece of plastic. I told the waiter and he said, "So sorry". I felt maybe a manager or someone else could have come to me and apologized. Other than that, food was good. I don't think I would go back there.
