I went here to get my vehicle aligned...great wear on my tires and I needed new ones. I was told to get a print off before and after of the alignment. I know too many mechanics. I needed this done fast as I was traveling out of state. Requested the print offs. They didn't do it before or after. I went to 2 other places that stated and printed off the alignment it is within a range but not totally aligned. I feel like I paid for a service I didn't get. For a place that specializes in this...well I'm not impressed.
I went to another business in Emporia for an oil change and was told I needed brakes and suspension work. They quoted me well over $1000 for the work. I went to Thomson for a second opinion and I’m so glad I did! They got my car in right away for a free estimate and I was told that most of the work was not an immediate safety issue and to only get the safety concern taken care of. The technician even took me back to the shop to show me and explain what work needed to be done and why. Thomson quoted me almost half the amount that the first place did and made an appointment for the following week. It only took about 4 hours for the repairs to be made and the estimate was true to the price I paid. I highly recommend Thomson Brake & Alignment! They are honest, knowledgeable, and fair.
Everyone there seeks to do a great job, charge an honest fee and be thorough. I have used them on many occasions and have been very happy. And hey, I started going because my Dad and friends recommended them. My Dad's approval speaks levels for me, so I will also happily recommend and trust them.
I have an emergent surgery tomorrow that is pretty far away, and I was really worried about my brake pads/rotors, in making the trip.
Not only did they get me in on the fly, but they were so HONEST with me about the condition of everything. Which meant so much to me, as a single mom in school full time and facing this surgery, ESPECIALLY after the "big chain" I'd recently been to for a tire repair was NOT AT ALL honest!
They got it done so quickly, and I can't say enough about how kind everyone is!

I have taken my vehicle to Thompson's a couple of times now in the last 2 years. The first time they put on brakes and got an oil change, and just recently I took it in because the front end is making noises. First time they fix my brakes was amazing, they are a place that if you want to get your own parts they will definitely put them in for you. So this time on my front end, I went in for a quote which they did not charge me for, found out the parts I needed, and when they arrived I'm going to have Thompson's put them in for me.
These guys are so fair and honest it's almost unheard of in these days. I highly, highly recommend these guys for anything you need done.
Update 5/2022. Just had them change my oil again, which I recommend. It's the same price as anyone in town, but these guys care about your vehicle.
I see I did not expand on my experience with my front end after I got the parts and had them install them. It has been months since I had my front end parts put on and I have to say it made a world of difference to my car.
Once again I can't say enough about Thompson's, I highly recommend them for absolutely anything you need done to just about any vehicle I think.
