I visited last Wednesday 14 th march 2023 . Had further mammogram ultrasound and biopsy.Each and everyone of the staff were amazing very kind considerate and informative of each stage that was happening.
Doctor very kind and explained what was happening.
Back next week for results. These people are worth more weight than gold. Thank you to you all.
This was a busy department. I was told in my appointment letter to expect a 2 to 4 hour appointment! I would say I was there before my appointment time and didn't get called until around 45 minutes after my scheduled time, but once you're called you get a thourough check.
I was given 3 mammograms, one ultrasound, a thourough examination and a second opinion from.a more senior member of staff before it was decided that there was nothing sinister going on. I left the department feeling I'd been treated well and dealt with in a friendly and professional way and was reassured all was normal, nothing to worry about. I would say the whole appointment time was around 3 and half hour's.
I think the outsourcing of outpatient care for routine stuff from your local GP to places like this has been a hit overall. The motive is more likely to be the GPs being unable to cope rather than the NHS identifying an area of productivity enhancement. Nevertheless if you need blood test results to check if you have some life threatening condition getting it all done within a few days is far preferable to the few weeks it takes at the doctor's. Linaker literally have a blood analysis laboratory on site! Your blood is tested almost immediately. It can get super- busy though. The staff are generally polite and efficient and now the crazy COVID policies have been relaxed the whole experience whilst not often "Enjoyable" (Unless you have Munchausen of course), is not often objectionable either.
Recently attended the clinic for the first time , following a call back from my mammogram, all the staff from the receptionist ,nurses to the doctors was fantastic.

Always had good prompt service. Can’t complain at all. Better than Wigan infirmary and Wrightington for communication and service. Wrightington is especially bad now
In and out very quickly. Went for a x-ray and the staff were great
All good. Seen on time. Just slight issue with car parking machine -resolved by speaking to security on reception.
Always easy to enter, providing you have an appointment. Help desk, there, always available to help.
