Foods okay. They have plenty of sauce options on the table, but you'd never get to try them all with the extremely low amount of meat they give on the Nachos. I definitely had plenty of chips, but they didn't seem very fresh. Drinks are syrupy. Chairs look like they are from the 70s and ripped to shreds. Also included a receipt photo for price reference for a family of 3.
Had brisket and half smoked chicken. Was absolutely wonderful. Served quickly.
Despite there being only a few tables full, the waitress was not attention be and at no time did I see any of the staff smile, greet customers or thank anyone for coming. It was like a funeral in there. Come on, guys.... The joy of the Lord is your strength!
Despite that, we will be back. Food was that good! Probably order takeout next time.
This Guy's was a wonderful find a year and a half ago. We're in town every 4 to 8 weeks and eat here at least once if not twice per visit. The Mrs gets pulled pork with coleslaw on top and varying sides, and I've had just about everything there with my favorite being as the menu says...half chicken smoked to perfection, and that ain't no lie!! Try the purple hull beans if they have them, their awesome as are the hush puppies. Great food and great value!
We went here because we had been told by our brother that they had good catfish (as well as other things). The brother was right! Catfish was very good and reasonably priced. We literally walked out of a different catfish place earlier that day because the catfish was way overpriced, but this place was right on with prices.
I also got to try the pulled pork which was good as well!
My sides were good, including the fried okra, the hush puppies were tasting great, and the fries were good.
The fried pickles were a very good appetizer!
I also like the atmosphere. Being a Christian, I loved that they were not afraid to put up Christian decorations.
We are already talking about wanting to go back and try something else, like the ribs.
It was super yummy here, and the loaded fries with brisket were bigger than my face!! The sweet tea isn’t sweeter than it needs to be, the waitress was super nice, and the cooks were having a good time in the back which makes me happy. It was very full at lunch time, but we managed to get an empty table, and we will be taking our cups home with leftovers and smiles :D
As always, great food. I've had them cater before, always the best food. The restaurant is no exception. Excellent service, very attentive waiter. If you're in the area, stop by and grab a bite before heading on to your next destination. You'll be glad you did.
Our first time was a real treat as far as the food is concerned. The time waiting was reasonable fir the food.
Nice size portions. It arrived hot, freshand very tasty. Salad with the Bleu cheese dressing had nice size chunks of B. C. My guess is they make it or use Ken's dressings. One of the better restaurants dressing out on the market.
That being said, our waitress, never smiled , was polite not very attentive. Needed to ask how where doing , not wait till where done eating for refiles on drinks.
We need to ask for containers to go.
Brought the check then ask if we wanted dessert. I fo admit when first getting there, gave us the menus and asked if we wanted appetizers before we even looked at the menu.
I left a nice tip, & we enjoyed the food. We will be back, In my career as a restaurant owner, key for waitress should be more open , friendly, smile alot even on bad day's. Tips are earned not taken for granted, it has a meaning.
