We were staying near by and I googled Gluten free restaurants near Leyburn. My partner has a wheat intolerance and after seeing Thirteen posted we booked. What can I say. Couldn't recommend this place any higher. An absolute lovely evening spent were both service and food were 1st class. I've put a few picture on. Mackerel, scallops, steak, lamb parfait and poached pears. I won't go into the details of what else was there. But the food was stunning. As for the gluten free menu. It was simply a joy for the wife to choose freely from the menu rather than have a very limited option. The place is well worth a visit. I for one will definitely be going back...
I was on a trip to the Dales. Looked up eateries in Leyburn and stumbled upon Thirteen. Menu looked promising. Muted decor and intimate seating, very lovely. Pleasant host, right start. When we ordered I could here the sauce for my pidgin being prepared. It was delicious by the way. We had Pork shoulder and Squash soufflé. Both were beyond description. THE BEST meal I've had in U.K. oh and chocolate tarte for dessert. Plus plus plus. Don't let me convince you, please try for your self.
Highly recommended! A little gem that would give any city restaurant a run for it's money. Superb food prepared and presented by husband and wife team Michael and Sarah in a relaxed and friendly environment.
The food itself means this has to be a five star rating although the restaurant setting doesn't feel quite as inspired. We had a lovely night though, the food is incredible.

Fantastic meal out last night at Thirteen. Tried stuff I've not had before and was well chuffed. Fantastic front of house, lovely waitress & the chefs a star too :-)
Amazing food at this small wonderful restaurant. From steaks to cod and lamb it was amazing. The rice pudding was out of this world.
