Wow such a delicious Vietnamese restaurant!!
We found street parking ($5) but I believe there is a lot nearby which is $5 for all day.
We ordered the
-Vietnamese coffee (tasty and less ice so I appreciated that a lot)
-Pho (so good and not a lot of MSG and clean broth)
-Chicken banh mi (delicious and fresh)
-Vermicelli noodles with carrots, cucumbers, and other delicious toppings! So filling and healthy!
The lady is very nice and we enjoyed our meal immensely!
There was a long wait. We thought the food was just ok. Not bad. Not great. The people working there did seem nice.
Traveling from out of town and found this place with a line. Gave it a try and I must say is decent pho. NoVA still got the top pho imo but this was good as well. Also got the summer roll as well. The soup base was not heavy but I usually like it with a bit more flavor.
Solid 4 stars and they ran out of banh mi which I wanted to try.
Very good food here and super efficient staff making sure you are pleased. The grilled shrimp salad was a perfect lunch choice with fried pork rolls and hot tea. Just delicious.
Delicious Vietnamese restaurant located in a somewhat large plaza of Chinatown on Broadway Ave. There are only 6 tables inside and 3 tables outside. It’s always packed and there is a queue for patrons seeking mouthwatering food. We ordered the bun and tofu cuon and let me tell you, I understand why there is a long wait for this tiny restaurant. Firstly the bun is perfectly al dente with amazing sauce. It’s just different from the standard bun bowls you would get at the plethora of Vietnamese restaurants in this town. The toppings are also expertly seasoned with a balanced spread of bun, shredded veggies, and protein. I’ve had my fair share of bun bowls in my life and this one was just yummy in my tummy!
This place has a super legit banh cuon to go. It was like $9.85 total but well worth it. They give you a lot and it's quality fresh ingredients along with great taste. Their nuoc mam was a little diluted and needed more fish sauce and garlic chili. Chopped cucumbers were very fresh so was their basil. The bean sprouts were very fresh as well, not one bad piece! The to go container was just perfect, round and super eater friendly not like those square styrofoam ones with 2 small sections and one main bigger section. I hate those because you can't mix the veggies into the main dish easily. Actually annoying. I would definitely come back and their other dishes. Parking was a pain but if you just park across the street on Hill street, there's plenty of open parking rather than trying to park on broadway. The shopping center is open all the way through from Broadway to Hill. Park on Hill St. I went and has their banh mi dac biet today and it was a 4 star sandwich. For $5.00 it's pretty decent. The amount of meat is good, the flavor is good. It's better than My Dung Sandwiches down the street for sure. Check out the pics
Little hidden gem tugged into Chinatown Los Angeles. Please plan accordingly, they are family run restaurant. Please don’t tell them I sent you and tip them well. They are there to serve the community.
