Really awesome restaurant! The atmosphere inside is like a combination of the Hobbit and a English tavern. It’s decorated and themed to perfection. It will keep you looking around spotting all the intricate details the whole time you eat. It’s super well maintained, bathrooms are immaculate.
All of the above is just reviewing the walk to your table. The food is great with a very unique menu. Perfect lunch spot.
We enjoy lunch here on a regular basis. The food, staff and atmosphere are all outstanding. The prices are reasonable. Parking can be tricky depending on what else is going on downtown. They have a small gift store off the side where they sell their products.
Got into town late and most of the places close at 9pm. Then I was directed here. Very nice atmosphere. Very calm. Nice BGM. Very friendly staff. Beef chili and their homemade bread are amazing. I'm sure other things on the menu are equally delicious. I would love to go back there sometime.
It's an important to know that the deli is owned and operated by a cult. Yes the food and atmosphere is great and they do well creating an attractive place. The cult is set up primarily on the application trail with the intention of growing it's membership by recruiting people that are soul searching. They see people on the trail as easy recruits and offer low cost hostiles along the trail. They also travel to concerts in busses like grateful dead and Phish and give out free food to also create the alour of attractiveness. This all said, they encourage people to cut off ties from their families, marry extremely young and turn members in psychological nightmares or make preexisting conditions worse. Children loose their parents and parents loose their children when they join the cult.
The community is better served if we stop allowing them to use downtown Rutland as their safe zone and head quarters for these operations. The sandwich and juice you purchased only fuels the fire.
For cult members reading this, please remember God does not make to hard of terms for those that seek him. Your life can be a prayer in society too .. the fact that your cult needs societies money to exist by seeking your food, produce, carpentry and other goods and services too is proof your not living outside of society but off of it and under control of manipulation.
You can worship and show kindness in all aspects of your life
The Yellow Deli does vegetarian and healthy food right. Everything was well balanced and delicious. As much as we enjoyed the food, it was the drink concoctions that had us. Iced Dandy Blend tasted like a subtly nutty chocolate milk. Matte Latte was gorgeously creamy with hints of yerba mate. For the amount of nutrition they pack, those drinks are delicious. The restaurant was clean and quaint. Service was at a comfortable pace and the employees were all very kind and respectable.
If you are visiting, be sure to check out their marketplace. I purchased a package of their Ol' Saint Joe Coffee blend to try at home. I was surprised to see the amount of yerba mate mixed with the coffee grinds. However, the mate doesn't come through strongly in the flavor profile - it tastes more like mocha overall. The blend is delicious as a pour over coffee.
Delicious! Awesome people, super nice and friendly. We had the Deli Rose sandwich, sweet potatoe pound cake, honey bun, oatmeal and papaya juice.
Amazing, must visit & eat. By far the most cozy, cute and unique atmosphere to visit. The food tastes amazing & is very carefully picked.

What a lovely experience. Delicious cream of butternut squash soup, “the heritage hike” and Reuben sandwiches, fresh artisanal bread, strawberry smoothie and warm chai tea latte. The atmosphere is calming and we left feeling refreshed and relaxed. Purchased their organic chamomile tea and bee wax moisturizing salve from the market attached to the deli. So happy we stopped by!
