Best KPortal Reviews

10 out of 10 for customer service. I can not comment on the rest as I did not see it. I booked through booking.com ( it was only £25.00) and decided to ignore the bad reviews and take a risk, as the Inn was under new management and was being refurbished. When I arrived they did not have a room for me, although they were fully booked, Booking.com was still taking bookings and sending them to the old management. There was no fuss, the Manager just took me around to the hotel next door, and paid for me to stay there. He told me it was not the first time this had happened but they could not seem to get Booking.com to stop doing it! He could have just given me my £25.00 and left me to my own devices, but he booked me into the hotel next door and paid the difference, which was significantly more. Excellent customer service. Thank you! Very odd that I am unable to leave a review on Booking.com, I wonder why :) Good job I took a printout of my booking with me.
This is a locals pub. It has a quite a few characters, some more friendly than others. Decor is basic and in need of updating. The first pub with a camera inside the gents that I have come across. Looking at some of the customers can understand why they might need it.
On the positive side, the staff I have encountered are friendly and helpful. The place was clean and tidy.
This is a hotel for that night when you are too drunk to go home and just need a place to crash that is not your car. Our rooms contained a broken microwave, stained, broken and mouldy bathrooms. Rugs that were sticky with we are not sure what. Windows that did not shut properly. Bed that you could feel springs through or as my child said dipped in the middle so she could feel the bed frame underneath.Despite seeing enthusiastic cleaners in the morning, the rooms were very unclean. The key to unlock the doors did not work properly. The green exit light in the room stayed on all night shining brightly above the bed. The pub customers below continued singing most of the night, well after midnight and the entrance and exit is through the a dangerous fire escape. This has steep steps that are not child friendly or anyone friendly through to more steep dirty slippery steps and into a dirty car park. This place was so awful that one of our children decided it would have been better to sleep in the car. The staff were friendly but disinterested and unprepared. The towels in the room had strange stains. The television was broken and taped back on to the wall.||Please do not book this hotel. It is not worth the budget price given and it is definitely not child friendly, unless you do not like your children and even then this would be a very cruel punishment.
This place was unfit for people who have been rescued from living on the streets. 0 star at best. Dump and £50 quid a night!||Wallpaper hanging off the wall. Dirty shower mat. Filthy windows that didn't close properly. Staff and drunk customers at 3pm not wearing face masks. Bed with more springs than fabric. I slept fully clothed on top of the thin duvet. Horrible place!!!
We stayed here as a group of 4 on our way back from Land’s End. When taken to our 3 bedrooms, one of them would not open, and the other would not lock. After several attempts ourselves we asked for help off the bar tender. When she came upstairs she managed to open one of the bedrooms, but was unable to lock the other. The owner arrived and was extremely unhelpful, telling us she would get it fixed in the morning, however we were leaving early doors. She advised we put the door wedge in the back of the door when we were in there, however it was lovely to discover this is clearly what had been happening for several months as the wedge had formed a passage under the bottom of the door, and the minute you pulled / pushed the door, it opened and the wedge disappeared. We were told there was nothing they could do and we would just have to find a way to feel safe in the room. |All 3 rooms were basic and filthy, with the thinnest walls so you could hear every movement. Definitely not worth what was paid.|As it was late and we had all had an extremely long day we had no option other than to stay. None of us slept at all and left as soon as we could.|Please avoid.
Please if you are reading this, do yourself a favour and go no where near this wreck. ||This place is an absolute disgrace from top to bottom and the fact that big chains such as booking.com advertise this is an embarrassment to themselves. ||If you don't take advise from myself and hundreds of others who've wrote on this page you'll be in for an experience. ||You'll be welcomed by drunk and drugged up interesting characters absolutely off of their faces by dinner time, using the toilets every other minute and taking advantage of the amazing cheap booze for cash deal that they all can't get enough of whilst listening to their favourite bangers on max volume. ||Then, if you're brave enough to venture upstairs you'll be welcomed with the dirtiest and oldest room of all time where almost everything is broken and hanging on by a thread with toe nails scattered on the freshly cleaned floor. ||The list could go on and on, I feel I dont need to say anymore, just stay clear, please .
Described as budget accommodation, and it is that. Random décor and furniture but enough space. Parking at pub was full, but there is a pay and display. Staff were pleasant. Sheets looked mostly clean. Bathroom window was screwed open. Shower was clean but toilet leaked across floor in front onto tiles. Chose to go out for the evening and only came back to sleep. Bed was firm but slept well, noise wasn't an issue (pub or road). No breakfast due to Covid, so had to go to garage shop. Wanted to leave at 8am but nowhere to leave keys, access to pub was bolted, no answer on the out of hours mobile so left a message. Fortunately someone staying in the other area of the pub gave us access to use the key box in there. Pub called me back 45 minutes later! Won't be going back.
Rooms are clean comfortable and pretty basic. Pub can be bit noisy downstairs if you fancy an early night. Breakfasts usually are served from 8am so I dont usually bother having one. Prices are really good and guess you get what you pay for. Tea making facilities are in the room and bedroom is nice and warm in the winter
