Best KPortal Reviews

Landlady is very rude, asked for a pint of San Miguel and asked to pay on card, her reply was "card, for one drink?" In a very rude tone and the glass was filthy (see picture for reference)
Quality pub full of quality people. A proper country pub which serves the soul purpose of a proper boozer rather than a lot of other pubs in the area which have become more of a restaurant. Nice array of ales that are changed regularly and the barman Steve is a top bloke. Thoroughly recommend this gaff if you love a good drunken chat to some random people always a pleasure.
Been coming here for years now, and is and always have been me and my best mates pub of choice, traditional pub , regulars always welcoming and the landlord Steve is a top bloke. Great selection of beers , good company, everything you’d expect and want in a traditional pub. A drinkers pub not a restaurant where you can buy beers like other places
Popped in for a drink with our Westie George. He couldn't believe his eyes when the landlord brought the tortoise in out of the rain. Never seen him so starstruck ???? Lovely, cosy and welcoming pub. Will definitely visit again.
Visited on a Tuesday afternoon before Christmas for a quick drink. It was very quiet with only one other customer and who I presume was the landlady sitting this side of the bar having a drink. She quickly turned the TV off when my husband and I walked in which meant it was very, very quiet and we had to talk in whispers so as not to be over heard. Landlord seemed friendly enough although I think he missed an opportunity to upset when I asked for a gin and tonic and he didn't ask what gin. We had one drink and left.
Was hoping to eat here but order drink and was given a filthy glass. Complained and it was replaced with another which was also dirty. Finally got a clean glass but had a hair in it. So did not eat here. Landlord helpfull but not to sure about the landlady a bsr is not the right place for her to work I think!
Just ordered 3 drinks all the glasses were filthy , we all drank from the bottle . The place stunk and was generally grubby feared we would be given more dirty glasses , would be genuinely scared to eat here.
Excellent choice of four real ales all in good condition and which are changed on a regular basis. Friendly service. Prices reasonable. Just started doing food under the new management and had excellent Sunday roast. A proper unpretentious pub
