The Wee Cottage Kitchen, North Uist, is a great big wonderful surprise. Set on the Sollas Beach road edge, the scenery is glorious. Then you ask for a lobster roll which is delicious. Great value and great taste freshly prepared with teas, coffees and a range of sweet things . Very friendly. Might be out of the way but well worth trip.
Great location in the middle of nowhere but perfect for travel stop. Good choice of freshly made foods and the scallops and black pudding roll really is the best. Also homemade cake bakes are very nice
A very unique place to get food and drink. Great Hot chocolate and cakes on offer. The view is stunning. Would like to have tried the breakfast menu, as that sounded great!
First visit today for coffee and cake .

Both had lattes one with oat milk
The tray bakes were fantastic . I loved my malteser filled one.
Next visit I want to try the black pudding and scallop sandwich !
Omg that was the freshest and best crab roll I have ever tatest whilst cycling the Hebridean Way. I even bought a cooked crab when I got home and it wasn't a patch on the crab from The Wee Cottage Kitchen and the views were just to die for ????????????????????????????????????
Sadly I'd already had lunch by the time I got here, but it smelled amazing! I had a coffee and scone and sat and enjoyed the views. Lots of people waiting for their fresh food and friendly staff.
The delightful Wee Cottage Food Truck may be wee but did not disappoint. Our lobster rolls were the perfect amount of fresh shredded crab with a light sauce on a soft fresh bun served with a crisp fresh lettuce salad. The chocolate malts were cold and creamy. We had a coconut jam cupcake that was fresh and moist. And the coconut lemon bar was tasty. Pleasant location with a beach view.
To say I was blown away was an understatement; the food is definitely worth the stop. Stornoway black pudding and scallops woohoo. Coffee and cake just finished it off to perfection.
