Me and a few mates had a weekend in Amble and called in here. Its the sort of place that you can tell is mainly locals, and us being in our 50's and by midnight on a Saturday it was proving to be rather lively with many younger locals. However everyone was very friendly and took great delights in telling us long tales about Freddie the Dolphin and his exploits. Dave the owner ran the Karaoke and we joined in the fun.
A nice wee find, never been before but next time we visit Amble it will definitely be our first stop, the owner is such a lovely man, can't wait to go back.
Always finish off an Amble soirée at the Waterloo for a few drinks with welcoming landlord Peter. Alas no karaoke at the moment because of social distancing, however we can't wait to return.
Great little pub. Landlord very welcoming. Locals friendly. Drinks quality very good and competitively priced. It is what it is. Will definitely re-visit soon.
The Waterloo what can I say? A unique little quaint pub sometimes smells sometimes it's alright. The drinks are ok not a beer drinker so not sure how that tastes. It gets very busy on a weekend evening and you have to pay to get in after 11 but your ticket you can use for a drink it's also a over 19s on a weekend after 11.
Good place to go to, forgot her name tho she the lass with the purple hair... she made me feel welcome and wished me on 21 birthday... blesas her heart ❤ I'll be coming back again.
Very well organised pub for calm clientele ... also caters for less calm clientele but for shorter periods, I guess.
Sadly I won’t be there tonight...
Great little pub with a very friendly governor and locals. Would definitely return if I am in the area again
