Beautiful salad box. Generous portions tailored to my liking. Fresh good quality produce. I like supporting small local businesses.
What a great place to go to for a sandwich, pie, sausage roll or salad. Very reasonably priced. The salads are very filling and well presented. Sandwiches, well the ham is gorgeous, turkey very tasty and the tuna is great. Now for the staff. What can you say about a bunch of pleasant, friendly, kind people. They remember you, remember orders and are not pushy to get you to buy more. The atmosphere is pleasant and much laughter goes on. I was in there today and left with my sides hurting with laughing. They definitely can cheer anyone up. Keep up the good work and I will continue to sing your praises. Excellent place.
Lovely local shop. Great choice of selection, including for vegetarian. If you aren't sure what to get just ask for a recommendation.
Ask them to read your order back to you, mistakes happen but they are always happy to correct it. The staff are very friendly and always brighten my day.
High quality deli meats, a wide range of third party "artisan" products in store, crisps were a bit stale but everything else was perfect.

Simon and Ruth where fantastic catering for our work event. They had a wide variety of foods and cater wonderfully for the vegetarians.

I recently lost my father-in-law and was looking for a local reliable caterer for the wake. Simon, Ruth and their team did not fail to deliver - on every level!! The quality of the food, service, reliability and pre event communications were first class. The vicar commented that she had attended many funerals this was the 'best spread she had ever seen!' The sandwiches, cakes and pastries were fresh, varied and delicious and the homemade spicy parsnip soup hearty and tasteful. The staff were respectful of the circumstances, well dressed, polite and helpful. The cost was also very reasonable. I cannot recommend The Village Bakehouse & Deli highly enough. Thank you Simon, Ruth and the Team.
