Really great set up- we went for lunch and then took the dog for walk up Pegsdon Hills. Super dog friendly- relaxed atmosphere and plenty of room for those that have dogs who can be reactive in new environments/with other dogs indoors. Super chilled atmosphere, which makes eating and socialising enjoyable. Good food choice, all super fresh and tasty and a good range. Really good value for money too. Lovely guy working (sorry we didn’t catch your name!) who was very prompt, friendly and seemed to be only person working but was getting everything done in good time- attention to details didn’t go unoticed! We’ll definitely be back!
Had Sunday roast and asked for them to be heated up. Two new meals lovely and hot arrived a few minutes later. Our waitress Roma was very attentive and then offered drinks on the house as the food was a little cold. Really good customer service and will definitely be back.
Incredibly Delicious Sunday roast.
I was amazed to see a young team working very hard to make all customers comfortable and happy.
Absolutely stunning view on the little hills.
Definitely, we will be back there.
Well done, guys.
We had booked an anniversary dinner at the veiw in one of their pods. It was beautiful. The staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble, they were attentive and polite. Madison made sure to check in on is regularly, and always with a smile on her face. The food was lovely, and large portions, presented beautifuly. We had an amazing evening and would highly recommend a visit. We will definitely be going back.
Great early evening meal sat in the sun enjoying the view. Friendly staff and great food. Added bonus Gluten free fish and chips. Highly recommended!
We went for a lovely family walk which we've done a number of times. We always park on the same road as this pub but never went in, although did always say how nice it looks. We decided to go in on this occasion as it was getting late and we needed to feed our 2 yr old daughter. We walked into the pub and absolutely loved the look and feel to the place. I went ahead to ask if its OK with a dog to which the staff responded 'were dog friendly' I bought my partner and daughter into the bar and sat down to decide on food. Unfortunately our daughter has allergies so eating away from home isn't too easy but the staff here were nothing but fantastic. We'd ordered and took a seat where we got to enjoy a lovely Sunday dinner. I think that the pub was beautiful but there are many beautiful places, what sets this place aside is the incredible staff who were genuinely amazing. We will be going to this pub when ever we go for a walk in this beautiful area.
Good value for money. Staff were really lovely. Food didn't impress so much.
The roast looked nicer than it tasted but for the price it was ok. The starter was great - best bit. Dessert tasted bought in, rather than made, as did the chocolate sauce. Not what I'd expect from somewhere described as a gastro pub.
I've both performed live music here and dined here at The View, and it really is a wonderful restaurant. Shane is a fantastic chef-proprietor, he's so wildly creative with his dishes, and they're always perfectly presented. Some Michelin star restaurants would struggle to hold their own against these guys.
They were also highly accommodating with my parter, who has coeliac disease, and provided extensive guidance on gluten-free options.
We'll be back in a few weeks, for sure. See you soon guys! ????
