Best KPortal Reviews

The pretzels are awesome. My rueben was pretty average. They use pastrami instead of corned beef. It was a bit dry but the rye and saurkraut were good. Fried mushrooms were unique and tasty. The burger patty could be a bit larger but it's a minor complaint. Overall the burger was good. Onion rings are good beer battered style, not the frozen ones you find at walmart.
The atmosphere is a bit dated, but it's clean and you can play pool and watch the game.
I visited The Tavern recently and very much enjoyed my food. I ordered the honey chili smoked wings. They were very good. I think my only critique is that my fountain soda had a little taste of chlorine mixed in with the syrup. Despite that, I still definitely recommend a visit and would like to go back just to try more food.
Update: I’ve been visiting more often. The tavern burger and melt is delicious. Recently they added more appetizers. Also wraps are now available. I ordered the grilled chicken caesar wrap. It was so good! Definitely my new favorite thing to order now. Seriously check them out.
A little small town spot. Blew me away with the burger. No ketchup or mustard needed just amazing flavor. My lady got a melt and was just as happy.
Jessica, the owner and staff, makes you feel welcome and at home. It's a down-home place. The prices are fair and you get your money's worth. They interact with their guest. Friday night is karaoke night. The DJ is great. He makes sure he's having fun with you as you're having a great time. It's well worth the drive. We love this bar.
Zane, the karaoke guy, is a fun, upbeat, and interacts with the crowd.
My hubby and I stopped in for lunch, our 2nd visit. First visit met the owner, very friendly young lady. Burgers were excellent. Not on this visit. Owner not there, burgers were way to small for buns and tasted premade and frozen. One last visit to prove orders will satisfy everytime, even when owner not there.
My hubby and I have been here a couple of times. The waitstaff is awesome, they are willing to ensure your dining experience is amazing. I asked them to make a special fruity drink I had in Aruba and without hesitation they made it for me.
The food was amazing! They have best burger in town. Choose this place over the other bar in town. You will not regret it. I've had their Wings and Avocado Chicken Sandwich and both are wonderful. BUT their burger is amazing!
First time here will be back. Food and service are great . Nice little local tavern. Wings with honey chili sauce and Ruben both very good.
Tried for the first time. We will never be back. Ordered 2 sandwiches and fries. One would think that's simple enough. Burger was supposed to be well done and it was basically raw on the inside. Red not pink. Rare at best. They didnt even bother to cut the sandwich in half. And the pastrami was overcooked. Ordered 2 sides of gravy. Only received 1, so sent my husband back up... yes, I said back up.. before we ate to get the other gravy. They sent cold gravy. Ultimate fail on restaurants part. Over 40$ for inedible food. Fail! If they were still open, I would demand 100% of my money back, and they could take back this... food. Instead, my garbage can is eating a 40$ order. I should also add I was a professional chef for years. Whoever is cooking up there should be ashamed to put out food of that quality. They clearly do not know how to cook. Or are so lazy and in such a rush to close that they can't read a food ticket or not overcook a Reuben... or not cook a burger properly.
