I have been going to this establishment since they opened. I used to love it. As of lately, the customer service is horrific. They no longer believe good customer service. The little short cashier takes rude to an ultimate high and the supposed to be manager is no better!
The prices on the big menu in the store and what they actually charge does not match.
They have increased the prices and changed what comes with/on the menu item without updating the menu you are looking at when ordering your food. When you confront them about it they rudely tell you the menu is wrong and basically say you want it or not.
Dear The Taco Place Manager, you are on your way down if you don't make changes that keep your customers happy and coming back. I'd hate to see you closed down. I suggest correcting all of the errors you are making and getting new, pleasant team members. I am not the only customer that feels this way!
I am so disappointed I ordered 2 chili Rellino tacos they both were burnt. I called the restaurant she apologized and said to bring them back and they would remake them. I said I’m not coming back today she said I can come tomorrow. I said is the recipe sufficient she said I had to bring the food. I have spent plenty of money in the place and they’re always busy. The chef knew the food was burnt and still sent it out. I should be getting another order free. I’m not going back any more . Bad service. You need to appreciate your customers.
You know what? This may sound crazy, but what happened to the Hispanic people that were working in there? The customer service has completely went downhill. I mean, you give a restaurant its accolades and they reward folks with trash. Trash food, trash service, pick some trash…I’m sure you can get it here. Meanwhile, I guess when you’re dealt by with a restaurant who’s prices are going up, quality is going down, and has I guess a no refund policy run. Oh, but I knew better because I ordered before from here and they messed up my order, they put it to the side to resell it….Beware
Matter of fact go to Juanchos or Taco Taco
Today I went to The Taco Place in Dolton IL. I order two nachos. One with cheese and meat and one with everything except tomatoes! I get my order it’s incorrectly made! I politely wait in line to just ask that my order be remade.
There is a sign that says the will gladly remake or credit the order but there is no cash refunds!
I get to the cashier she says the order is correct. That she took my order and that she repeated it back to me! I know for a fact I said the same thing twice because I have a child that only eats cheese and meat! So I ask to speak to a manager. The cashier offers me a refund for the portion of the order that was incorrect. I clear state that I just want it remade.
The ”manager” comes out 10 minutes later stating that she took my order and that it was my fault for not hearing her correctly so she will not remake my order. She then turns around to say that the kitchen is closed and that I could get cold food!
I state that it was two other orders that they had just remade but she won’t remake my order?! She tells me that there was only one order that was remade. She had a nasty disposition. I told her it makes no sense to refund me half and now my food is cold. I just wanted a full refund because of her approach to a customer! I do not know what she would have done to my food if she remade it even though that was not an option at 7:47pm and they close at 8:00pm. I was there for over 30 minutes!
I call non-emergency to get the police there. They let her give me a partial refund and let me take home cold food.
As a business owner I know that the customer is not always right but I also know how I run my business! You can not have a sign up that says no cash refund but offer a cash refund! The kicker is you refund me what you wanted not what was right.
Anyone who has lived in Dolton or South Holland has eatten there. I’ve been going to The Taco Place for years and I’ve never had a bad experience until today and they will never get another dollar from me!
I love elotes (street corn) and it was sooo goodt! I had to visit back 2 back. I had the original in the cup. This was the 1st time I enjoyed it in the cup bc they not only top it with all the goodies but its in the middle/bottom as well. I will definitely be returning for more! 10 out of 10...run don't walk.
Food is good but their customer service is terrible. Took so long I couldn’t even get my food and they refuse to give a refund or let me get the food another day even though it was fully paid for.
The food there is hit or miss. These days more misses than hits. Usually order chicken tacos and the chicken be dry and there's a quite of few gristle in the tacos. The prices have gone up from $2 a taco to $2.75 a taco. It seems that the food was better when it was cheaper! How can you raise your prices and the food be worse?? Make it make sense! Smdh
The food is good. The fries are always old. They have a sign in-store about a 2 taco special and they honor it when they feel like it. Their always busy, order ahead of you can. For 6 tacos to feed three people, we spent $27.
