Been here many times pre fire and renovation. My favorite eatery on the boardwalk. Went this evening and the food is still great. Highly recommend the calamari, fish and shrimp appetizer. The chipotle sauce is fantastic. Great margaritas! 3 stars is due to the fact they add a 20% service fee to your bill. No where obvious does it state this. I have no problem tipping 15-25% or more based on service. Check your bill! Just not a fan of the way some establishments are doing this. I get it when it’s a larger party but it was just me and my wife. Will return, but not happy with this.
We got Nachos with the Queso which was excellent then we got the Taco ???? Platter, which is 2 tacos of your choice. Wife got the Angus and I got the Beef, both got one soft Taco and one hard Taco, also was fried rice and black beans plus an ear of street corn. Are second time going there and it has been great both times. Highly recommend it.
Had the lobster taco platter and it was very delicious although wasn’t very too happy with the service. I had went with a friend but I was the only one eating (as they had already eaten prior) and didn’t know the gratuity as added on the check. I would have been more then happy to still leave some gratuity but the service that was given yesterday wasn’t at all there. Never been to a place where they don’t at least tell you before ringing up a check. To the owner of the establishment, please let your customer know in advance as some may not be aware of these new customs.

I’ve dined in at the Taco Joint before and the food was good! However this time around when I ordered food to go, I ordered the salad with grilled mahi expecting to get what I saw the salad looked like on the social media page of The Taco Joint.
And this is what I got ???? disgusting!

We loved the tacos, chicken, lobster and carnitas! Washed those down with house Margaritas. Chips and guacamole was also good! 20% Tip was already included even for a two top.
Filling, seasoned food! They add a lot of meat to those tacos. The enchiladas are a little different, sauce wasn’t tasty and the seviche wasn’t as fresh as it could be. Definitely would come again when it’s busy.
We were excited to try The Taco Joint and we were both disappointed. We shared the ground beef nachos and one grilled mahi taco and one fried mahi taco. Both fish tacos were overcooked and chewy, and the nachos were just not good. There were plenty of chips and toppings, but the chips were seasoned too strongly (which is hard to do in my opinion), and for some reason the flavors just weren’t really there. Neither of us liked either of their salsas. My wife said the guacamole was good and we each got a Taco Joint beer, (she got the blonde, I got the lager) which we enjoyed. Very good service and very fast, plus a great location. We just didn’t think the food was very good.
honestly couldn’t complain, I got the burrito bowl with chicken and “made it wet” for $3 extra which i believe added cheese and salsa. pretty delicious, flavorful, and service was good, would def come back for more fish tacos.
