Went along for a Sunday roast which was outstanding! The Lamb was so tender, the Veggies cooked/steamed and roasted to perfection. Gravy and the Yorkshire pudding were great too. Unfortunately, I was defeated by the amazing Salted Caramel Cheesecake Ice-cream and was unable to finish it ????????
The service was excellent and the staff were all very friendly and welcoming. All round, an excellent Pub. Highly recommended and will definitely be visiting again
We returned here after 15 years and were not disappointed. My husband and I came here on our first date and when we returned, it was just the same, welcoming, warm, local, friendly pub that it always has been. This place has done what others couldn't and kept that home from home feeling that just makes me want to come back again and again. The food was lovely, onion rings a bit too greasy but the chips were delicious, the meats were perfectly cooked and the special felt like it was made with love straight from angels. Divine. Looking for reasons to return.
Fab night here with the band last night, very welcoming and chilled environment. Good range of beers on tap, with great service. The band belted out a vast range of songs all of which were great and will defo be back, just need to same the food next time as I could easily make this a regular haunt.
Nice beer garden, burger basket meal was burger in a bap and chips, unfortunately they had run out of tomato sauce ???? garlic bread was nice.
Excellent. Very friendly welcome. Lovely selection of pub food, and great selection of beers. Quick service, food superb, would not hesitate recommending.
Recently recommended by a family friend, and the swanlake did not disappoint! Easy walk from the local camp site, really friendly bar and restaurant staff, great pub grub and with a proper pub feel to boot. We will be back, probably tomorrow.
We had 2 meals here last week, absolutely fabulous food! Such a great atmosphere and such a welcoming place! To be remembered by the landlord is always a good sign. It means he cares, and you are made to feel more than just customers. See you next year, guys, when I've worn off the extra weight ???? xx
Visited recently booked a table for 3 of us we were served by a lovely chap who gave us our drinks while we chose our meals we had the butterfly chicken fabulous ???? choice of cajan or lemon & garlic both delicious served with a great salad chips or jacket potato lovely generous portions. Staff were very attentive asking if we needed anything, the only downside was and completely NOT their fault a group of load mouthed people kept constantly swearing & getting louder with no respect for any of the guests that were dining . I think we all felt the same not to approach these idiots ignore and they will go away our theory was right they didn't get any attention and thankfully left ! It hasn't put us off we will be back swanlake keep up the good work ????
