We had a wonderful first experience here on Saturday. I booked by phone and was immediately impressed by the friendly manner of the lady who took my booking. On arriving we were all also impressed by the warm atmosphere in the pub, and the friendliness of every single staff member. We all ordered different starters, mains and desserts and everyone was extremely pleased with the quality and quantity of the food. There is something on this menu for everyone. But most of all the keenness of the staff, always smiling, to ensure all was ok. And the pub was busy with other diners when we arrived. Always a good sign. I think we were the last to leave! So thanks to all at the Swan for a lovely evening, one we are sure to repeat.
I've been here several times for either breakfast or a meal and they have never failed to deliver. The staff are so friendly and helpful and the food is superb and of a good quality ingredients. Highly recommend you pay them a visit and try for yourself
This was our first visit. First impressions were good, clearly the bar area was of an olfactory fashioned country style pub. Good selection of beers and they know how to look after them. However, the food was disappointing. We had the Sunday lunch carvery. There was a selection of rolled turkey breast, rolled pork and lamb. Unfortunately they were dry having been sitting out under the hot lamp. The vegetables too looked worse for wear sitting in the terrines in the bain-marie. There was very little gravy left and it was congealed - not at all pleasant. The member of staff in charge of the carvery section made no attempt to nip into the nearby kitchen to get more, he just let me scrape the bottom of the terrine yet could see I was struggling with no gravy. The dessert however - apple crumble was very good. Will we be going back? No I don’t think so.
Always a pleasure... Meet friends here regularly and never disappointed. Good menu choices and great service .... Dog friendly and really welcoming ...
We've been going to The Swan from 2006 and sadly April 2024 will be the last time we'll be visiting.
The food and service used to be excellent. When we visited on 20th April 2024, the food and service has significantly dropped. The cook has certainly changed and the short haired brunette was extremely rude and was in a hurry to leave. Their burger used to be proper handmade and what we had on 20th was like processed meat. The salad always came with a beautiful dressing and there was no dressing. The roast beef Patrick's special was dry and all the vegetables was soggy. Extremely disappointed and we ate without complaining and did not want to leave or waste the food because we knew it would be binned. Extremely sad to be no longer making Swan our stop over when we visit the beautiful Norfolk. Miss the food and previous chef and management. Please improve your service and brunette waitress learn to respect your customers because they pay your wage.
Staff are helpful, accommodating and friendly.
Pub is beautiful and most importantly food was lush.
Plus a gluten free menu!
Thank you for a lovely evening.
Will definitely be back
We went for Sunday lunch and the carvery was delicious. The service was a little bit slow but it was really busy so we didn't mind. Staff very friendly and helpful. A really nice pub to eat. We pass it often and will definitely stop again, again and so on. Xx Merry Christmas to all the staff.
Suite & apartments in barn very clean, beds comfortable. Food excellent and good portion sizes. Paul, Kerry and their staff could not do enough for us with our wedding party. Dogs welcome also, would highly recommend no complaints at all. Nov 23
