We thoroughly enjoyed our stop here and it is worth a drive out. Currently owned by the MacLeans Bakery just up the road, the food is fresh, simple and honest. Ann was a delight and the perfect host, friendly and warm, and we really enjoyed meeting her and the time she gave us on the history of the local area. The decor of the restaurant is gorgeous, and I particularly loved the individually made glass panels in the windows- well worth a look around... Also- lemon cheesecake to die for!!!
I spent over month on island. This restaurant was our favorite. The food was excellent. The Staff was very friendly.
Chose a takeaway cheeseburger as I had dogs with me, so not a fancy meal (hence the 4 stars), but the place itself has a very good eat-in menu and specials board and was spotless. Staff very agreeable and friendly and the service was excellent. Will hopefully visit again without dogs to sample their fare.
Huge portions, fish beautifully soft and flaky, served piping hot. Pavlova (banana, toffee sauce, ice cream) delicious but it's on a standard meringue, not a pavlova texture - that's OK by me, but if you expect a soft interior, it's not there!
We booked as suggested on various websites, but we had a pretty early booking and it seemed pretty empty on arrival. The menu looked fairly limited and was short on any detail and we all immediately lowered our expectations. We shouldn't have. The person serving was lovely and helpful and the lack of detail on the menu doesn't do the food justice. We were 2 adults and 2 teenage boys and we had one crispy chicken, one scampi and 2 burger stacks. It was all delicious and we left stuffed. I highly recommend the burger stack - I can't even tell you everything that was in it, but it was a taste sensation and the burgers from the local butcher were brilliant. When I am back this way, I will definitely return...and probably have the burger.

Lovely clean restaurant in the centre of Benbecula. Nice menu and the 'Specials Boards' have tasty mains and delicious desserts. Quick polite service.
I think this place has a lot of potential and it is sad to see it isn't reaching it. I'm not sure if it's unfair to say being the only gig in town is part of the reason why. The food wasn't great and not fantastic value for money, the service was basic, traditional music was playing in the room and that was nice. The place was clean and tidy and appeared well maintained.
