Best KPortal Reviews
Well established old school pub on the square in St just. Doesn't do food but does have a good selection of ale. Friendly landlord and locals. Interesting photos and curios from the mining community. Open mic on Thursdays. Open late. Highly recommended ????
This place is a lovely little pub at the heart of a picturesque village. I haven't tried the food, so cannot honestly give it five stars, but it ticks just about every other box. There's a spacious seating area at the back, the service is friendly and efficient and they have a wide range of local ales on tap. Definitely worth a visit of you're in the area.
Great pub. Very friendly atmosphere. A brilliant old school proper pub vibe. A good selection of local beers and ciders. Lots of local heritage hanging on the walls. Staff were very helpful passing on lots of local information and tips about places to see. We went with our kids (10 and 8).
I have given this pub 5 stars for everything, but they don't serve food so that is a pointless question. The food is only as good as what you bring with you which you are welcome to do here Pasties bought from the butchers next door, sandwiches from shops in the square , or the picnic you have prepared at home. The food rating is down to you . Oh, they sell 5 star crisps.
Good beer and a very friendly crowd. Service at the bar is faultless
A real pub, very well run with excellent staff.
A proper pub in a proper town ( Don't call it a village ) and they serve Proper Job. Lovely open fires, and friendly and warm staff. Bring a Pasty to eat in.
Everything a tradition "local" should be. Old-fashioned, with friendly local customers and plenty of atmosphere
We just fell upon this pub by accident and were so glad we had.
It's a real spit and sawdust pub ( not many of them around these days) with lots of character.
We only had drinks which were very reasonably priced. Extremely friendly locals but for us the icing on the cake was the hilarious landlord who had us laughing from the minute we entered, not very often you come across someone like that these days. Had we had more time we would definitely have gone back.
Massive well done to you and all your locals for making our visit a memorable one
